awww, that was so sweet, I loved it.
| Goddess-of-Genius chapter 1 . 10/23/2011
That was super cute. The funniest part, to me, was when the little girl almost threw a tantrum and Neal had to step in and save Peter.
I'll say it again. Neal. Is. Amazing! Pumpkin carving is so hard. I can hardly make a simple face, lol. Great job!
Kind Regards,~ Gg

| BeciNotBecky chapter 1 . 7/1/2011
Aww very sweet my favorite part was peters thoughts on neal performing the card tricks . That was worded perfectly and I really enjoyed it . Also clever idea with the pumpkin carving. thanks for writing !
| DELETED ACCOUNT 10123 chapter 1 . 10/28/2010
Okay, you made me laugh, smile, and frown at the same time. I looked really odd. Anyways, I loved it.
| RainyJ.T chapter 1 . 10/23/2010
I like this, it's adorable :) and Neal's magic tricks are so cute! I love how good he is with kids, and how flustered Peter seemed to be when the kid didn't like skittles, haha!
Halloween is a wonderful holiday! D
| j3nnee chapter 1 . 10/16/2010
Poor Neal having to dress as Peter LOL
And Peter as Neal. I know he describes those ties Neal likes as dental floss. ;)
| Tinnuial chapter 1 . 10/16/2010
Awww, this is the sweetest story! Neal would totally love Halloween and the idea of them swapping clothes is hilarious...though Neal's suits would be a really tight fit on Peter! I loved the little details like how Peter is fascinated by Neal's interest in origami. Thanks for sharing :)
| Apathetic Mortal chapter 1 . 10/10/2010
Awww! I love this story! The descriptions of everything are so great; a wonderful Halloween story for the world of White Collar! I'm glad you were able to find time to write this :-)
| asesina chapter 1 . 10/3/2010
This was great! Everyone was in-character, and it had a lovely seasonal aura to it. I love holiday-centric fics, so this was perfect!
There was a real sense of family and togetherness, too.
I loved the little details about Neal's Halloween decorations, and it was so in-character for him to do card tricks at a Halloween party!
It was nice to see Moz, June, and Samantha, too.
This was a nice little look at Neal and his friends. It definitely captures the chemistry that they share and it would fit in nicely at the end of a Halloween or autumn- themed episode!
| truglasgowgal chapter 1 . 9/28/2010
Vanessa, this was brilliant!
I loved your attention to detail - or Neal's ;P - with things like the red toothpick pitchforks and candy corn-shaped note. Genius!
It was adorable and fun and just a wonderful read.
I especially loved how you included June and Samantha and Mozzie - nice touches from all, and a refreshing 'twist' on the family aspect, given that it usually just revolves around Peter and El and Neal. You know I'm partial to adding Moz and June myself, so I'm hardly complaining - definitely praising you, in fact.
Neal's note to Peter was great, and you write the dialogue and characters so well.
"Ooh, pâté again? This looks delicious, Elle, but I doubt that you've checked it for poison. Allow me…"
Peter appealed to his wife. "Who invited him again?" - amazing! You captured them so well, I'm jealous of your talent, truly.
Glad you found the time to write this - can't wait to read what you come up with next :D
| Linoria chapter 1 . 9/27/2010
This was so cute:D
I'd love to see one with thanksgiving aswell:)
| brokenclaw chapter 1 . 9/27/2010
I love how you described Neal in this story! Especially when he decorated the office.
| paperlion chapter 1 . 9/27/2010
What a great, sweet story! There were just so many moments that I loved about this:
OF COURSE Neal loves Halloween- a trickter's holiday for the trickster.
Did Neal go in early to decorate the FBI offices? Also, did you/have you in the past made your own little desktop decorations, because the way you described them was very clear, as if you were actually thinking of specific crafts, and I love that.
Peter and Neal dressed as each other!
The little Halloween party- so nice and sweet, and just... all our characters being friendly and happy, and doing what they do best. And then! June invites the Burkes for Thanksgiving, but WE KNOW what happens in November in your timeline, and they have no idea what is coming. Lovely.
| mam711 chapter 1 . 9/27/2010
I really enjoyed this, especially the pumpkin, and the bat in the pocket.
I don't know if it would improve the story, but I'd enjoy seeing Peter and Neal actually trying to behave like the other...
