| E chapter 1 . 2/2/2014
I feel bad for Phedre here because I know she feels blood guilt for Fortun and Remy, but Melisande is just that freaking powerful...because she is beautiful, smart, cunning, sadistic, and loving (in her own semi-sociopath way). *sigh* What anguissette wouldn't want her?! Now they can live "happily ever after" with Bendicte and Imri won't endure torture at the hands of the Mahrkagir. I like Ysandre, but despite Melisande's scheming and its consequences, I like Melisande more. Granted, I'm not sure if she'd make a good queen, but she would certainly make a wonderful Domme. Phedre clings to her morals, which is nice, but I think she would find something freeing about giving into her nature completely, as opposed to just taking assignations to sate the craving once every 4 months.

I think the parts I mourned most were Hyacinthe, and Phedre's Boys. The chevalier reference here killed me.
