I love the bit of hope in this. Maybe when they are dead for real they can have this but for now they still have something to do. Hopefully they can find themselves back to each other, which is particularly needed the way Season 6 is going. I agree with you that near the need of Season 5 they were finding their way back to each other, I not thrilled with the way things are going now. Anyways, I really enjoyed this because of the balance between the good memories of the past that form our character and nourish the spirit during hard times, but loosing yourself in them denies the present and what the future could be.

I just found your work... and this piece is breathtaking! Thank you so much for sharing. You transfer the emotions so well that even I seemed to be lost in that moment :)

i enjoy reading what u write simply bc of the way u write.
its too bad that in tv u cant get to what the chars r actually 'thinking' ... but thats what fanfic is for. )

This was good but it was hard to read because it dealt with such sad issues. Poor Sam, it was like having his brother die over and over again. Obviously if it's had this kind of effect on me then it's a well written piece. [sigh!] Good job.

Aww that was sad, but did still offer us some hope, even if it didn't seem that way. I hope the boys can find some inner peace at some point. And I hope they don't have to die again to do it.

sorry i think you are trying to read a lot that didnt really happen into things, The fic is fine, im talking about your end note here. A wink is the only thing we get to see Dean with hope again? Sadly i didnt see him having any hope in 5 - although he did regain faith in Sam.
| ROBINV chapter 1 . 9/30/2010
Sigh. So gorgeous, I just wish it wasn't only Sam's dream. How ironic that Dean DID recover his faith from that gesture of Sam's, his decision to bring him along to save Adam. I maintained all along that love would conquer all, and in the case of Sam vs. Lucifer, it did. When Sam spied the solider in the ashtray, it unleashed that flood of memories, all hinged on the love the brothers felt for each other, allowing Sam to overcome Lucifer inside "Sam's noggin." That love is what saved the world.

*standing there unscathed within the shipwreck that was his life*
Wow. This was beautifully done. It was a nice fantasy - I don't blame Sam for wanting to hang on to it.
| Heartless BytchhakaHelenBach1 chapter 1 . 9/29/2010
That was great! I loved the dream aspect. And the let down at the end. But yet it left hope for their future.

I didn't find it depressing. I found it nice...and hopeful. And real. And very well-written, too :)
