|Reviews for Wrenfield Hall|
| Guest chapter 28 . 10/22
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. I loved it.
| Jenarla xXx chapter 28 . 10/17
Loved it! The beginning really had the feel of a Brontë/Austin novel. It became more modernised as it went on but still a joy to read. You have a wonderful husband and I am simply amazed that you still managed to finish this story with all your children and busy life. I am very impressed and aspire to be as prolific as you.

Right you are. Brava, Bella.

OK, so I think you were trying to kill me with this final chapter. Where to begin...
Love that the girls had their "talk" with Bella just like the guys had with Edward.
Edward's gift to Bella was so, so sweet. He really is pretty perfect. And the rag doll (named Annie!) that was also discovered. That part got to me. Brilliant idea to loop back to Bella's parents and the idea that their memory will be kept alive at Wrenfield Hall.
It was fun to hear about Winters again. Still a character!
How perfect to have Armstrong walk Bella down the aisle! You really did think of everything!
And they got their HEA. They both surely earned it. You just know they will make a wonderful life together at the beloved Wrenfield Hall.
Thank you so much for this story. I feel like it was a double gift b/c I got to know you a bit through your hysterical author's notes. You're a talented writer and if you are publishing somewhere else, I would like to know how to find your stories. As I mentioned much earlier on, I was brought here by the ladies at Robsessed. I was intrigued by your story in small part b/c my own daughter's name is Wren. So glad I decided to give it a try. This lovely, charming story did not disappoint. :)
P.S. I did check out your recent posts on Twitter as well. You gave out your address a few chapters ago.

Well, how nice. Everyone is back at Wrenfield Hall. Never would have believed Tanya and James could have changed so much-and for the better. It will be a lovely and stress-free day now that everyone has matured a bit and decided to be the best version of themselves.
This was really a chapter of understanding and forgiveness. I loved the exchange b/t Rose and Bella in the bedroom. Loss like the kind Rose experienced will alter your view of the world. It really was generous of Rose to open up her heart and share her story with Bella in an attempt to solidify their relationship. She and Emmett will be wonderful parents. Lucky baby.
Oh to be a fly on the wall for the sex conversation among the brothers and cousins. It does seem hard to believe Edward has zero experience at his age...
On to the wedding and the conclusion of your beautiful story!

So they are back at their beloved Wrenfield Hall. It's mostly just as Bella left it. I did wonder about the staff that may have moved on, and how the longtime staff might treat Bella in her new role. I like the interaction between Bella and Mrs Cope and the agreement they came to. Mrs Cope has really been a surrogate mother to Bella.
It's not unusual that Bella would be bored now that she is there and without a proper role. She's been creating a life for herself and making decisions that have allowed her to use her keen mind. It would seem she may have uncovered her new role at Wrenfield Hall: Chief Financial Officer. It thrills me that she and Edward will have a "modern" marriage and true partnership as co-owners of their home and the tenants who are like family to them.
I look forward to Bella's reunion with Alice and the rest of Edward's family for the wedding. It should be grand!
While you asked this question some years ago now, I (and I'm sure many other readers) would love a sequel. I'd be open to exploring other characters and how life evolved and changed at Wrenfield Hall after 20 years. But, because so much time has passed and there is not a sequel, it doesn't really matter. The good thing about reading years later is that I did not have the agony of waiting for updates, but with two chapters left, I am already missing these two. Sigh.

Clapping hands! Yay! Together at last...
Proposed to in a balloon-that's a pretty romantic setting. Nicely done.
Glad to know the status of all the other characters, especially James and Tanya, since that relationship was the most fragile. Good news for everybody!
Also happy that Edward was more than willing to make his home in Venice. Such a great man. He'll be a wonderful husband. I do love that Bella wants to return to Wrenfield Hall, where she will be the new Lady of the house. Can't wait for the staff's reaction.
Wonder if they'll wait to marry until they return to England or just elope in romantic Venice and return home with the good news.
A bit of lemony goodness would be lovely...
Thought I'd finish the story tonight but my husband would like some of my attention now. Until tomorrow...

Well, that was an extremely revelatory chapter! Whew!
So Tanya turned out to be not only a nasty social climber but also slutty. Hmm...she almost got her comeuppance, except that James was there to salvage the situation. Since she doesn't love him, I hope the relationship isn't a total disaster.
Armstrong is a lovely man. I remember (now) being impressed with him when he first met Bella and I'm even more impressed with his love of family and his desire to attempt to right a wrong. He had a lot to tell Bella and I had to read it twice to make sure I got all the details.
Armstrong must have been testing/screening Bella to see if her feelings for Edward were still there b/c he must have known Edward was aboard the ship the whole time! A part of me was sorry that Bella would be leaving Venice behind after all she had accomplished. I wanted to believe Edward would come to Italy and reunite with her. ow that may be true! Sweet reunion!
Great reveal, by the way.

OK, so I'm a little confused.
Thrilled that Bella finally made it to Venice and that she is engaged in rewarding, fulfilling work. Three years have elapsed!? Huh? It's clear Bella is still pining for her lost love while making her way in the world. (And I'm glad her life was turned around by the kindness of strangers.) Just find it hard to believe that NO ONE could locate Bella to speak with her and provide some kind of explanation or offer closure?
Perhaps I should know who Armstrong is but I don't recall. Did Edward task him with finding the elusive Bella? Is Armstrong Edward himself? Did Edward learn who his real father is? Was Edward able to somehow resolve things with Tanya and her father AND make the balloon idea a success?
So many questions. I'll just hope all will be resolved in the remaining chapters.

Amazing! I have no other words!
| garrigan-nass chapter 22 . 10/4
You're trying to kill us (no pun intended) with this short chapter by ending the chapter here. I know Bella must feel entirely alone at this point. And I do think Edward could have tried harder to locate Bella and communicate...something. Perhaps Bella will choose to reach out to Alice, who I really feel will be a great support to her at this point.
| garrigan-nass chapter 21 . 10/4
He had to know she wouldn't be able to stay at Wrenfield Hall. There's no way she could look at him or Lizzie and Mrs. Cope and not want to run screaming from the room.
I know Edward is in pain as well. He was forced into a situation where he couldn't win and had no time to think of any alternatives or ways to delay Winters. But he has to get a message to Bella somehow. Perhaps Lizzie will tell him where Bella is or Bella will reach out to Alice.
I can't believe this is chapter 21! Only a few chapters left! And no sequel-argh!

| garrigan-nass chapter 20 . 10/4
Noooo! What just happened? Winters can't be that much of a bastard. With all of Edward and James financial woes, surely he must think Tanya could make a better match than to marry a Masen. Why would he choose tonight to force this pairing when he was low-key all this time?
Poor Bella. Poor Edward. What a mess! And so public-how hurtful.
| garrigan-nass chapter 19 . 10/4
Oh, my. I do home Carlisle will be okay.
I think my heart is racing as quickly as Bella's. F-i-n-a-l-l-y Edward is home! And there's a Christmas party tonight. Perhaps a ring will be given...very exciting.
I was a little surprised by 's reaction to the news that Edward was in love with Bella. While she was somewhat supportive (and not really surprised), her gentle warning wasn't optimistic for a happy outcome. Guess we'll see if she finally comes around. Trying to image Bella as the new Lady of the house and what it will mean in terms of her relationships with the staff.
