Aw. I really felt like crying reading this, it was just so... beautiful and moving. A wonderful little insight into Patrick's life before he became a "psychic" and had a family and settled down in that big house in Malibu. Before he managed to piss off a derranged killer and have it all taken away from him. It was heartwrenching irony when she said "You'll be the death of me", really.
I absolutely loved this entire story, it was so incharacter, even for him being a teenager still. Very Patrick Jane and a decent portayal of his life at the carnaval. Another excellently written, wonderful piece of work. Astouding.
Looking forward to more,

This was so poignant and full of bittersweet foreshadowing. Angie telling him he'll be the death of her, the red line Jane never can seem to stay away from; also, I'm so glad you kept their love pure as it's exactly how I've always pictured it. Not to be a snob, but I've always steered clear of fics depicting Jane's early years because I have such a clear image of how it was in my mind that I knew anything I read
would dissapoint. This one is doesn't and is so satisfying
it's scary :) I adore your writing style; there's just something so mature about it; it exudes confidenve if
thatakes any sense. We're lucky to have you here :)

A brilliantly Great look into Young!Jane! :D I can totally see him in this kind of light. Impish, charming, roguish even, yet also grown beyond his years.
Angela was cool too. :D
A very believable story, mate! :)
faving this AND you! :D
| castiello chapter 1 . 10/26/2010
Ah, young love. Nice little slice of their romance. It hits all the right notes - joy and sorrow, hope and despair, humor and ominous foreshadowing. Possibly my favorite line: "You are sitting… on the switch." :)
| House Calls chapter 1 . 10/25/2010
What a wonderful story! I've missed reading your work. :-)
The flow of it was fantastic, and I like the way you showed the young Patrick Jane becoming the pre-Red John Patrick Jane. Simple and beautiful and poignant and sad. Amazing!

This is just fantastic. The image of Jane's life in the carnival, and his relationship with Angela, is so vivid that I could picture it myself. A wonderful, wonderful story. I love it :)

| Alamo Girl chapter 1 . 10/16/2010
Love this. A little glimpse into Jane and Angela's life with the carneys before they "ran away together." And very plausible. You describe Daddy Jane's manipulative fluxuating behavior perfectly.
I love the foreshadowing and the symmetry of Jane's wants and dreams for him and Ange, with what will come. And Jane's heart as a diamond - WOW. Perfect. I wonder what he's heart would be described as now? Probably a charred thing locked away in a box.
| Traveler of Worlds chapter 1 . 10/16/2010
Beautiful. The repetition in the descriptions makes it all the easier to picture. The Ferris Wheel, the lights and the whole sort of fairy tale feeling are just gorgeous. I'm glad you're back!

So so so so fantastic!
| yaba chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
Just lovely. I thought the imagery inthis was particularly inspiring! It almost playedup on all the ugliness surrounding Jane and Angela, making their love seem even sweeter and more hopeful in contrast. I really enjoed your take on this. It's entirely possible it happened that way and featuring Danny was rather awesome too. Seriously, great job!
| TeresaJane chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
Omigoodness, that was beautiful! The imagery was amazing, and you made this very realistic. Great job!
