|Reviews for Show Me What It's Like|
| RocknRollagirl chapter 1 . 8/18/2015
Me again:) Your installments are pretty much all awesome(at least those i read so far) and it never fails to amaze me how detailed you can describe a scene with using so little words. This one was philosophical and tragic and i really liked it:)
| Ani101 chapter 1 . 11/30/2010

| supernaturalsammy67 chapter 1 . 10/18/2010
OOHH MY GOD!
This was AMAZING!
what an incredible concept and idea that even the creatures feel the fear and sadness, such an epic fic! In the realms even bigger than just the whole show!
you've really written on something grand :)
amazing hun! absolutely amazing!
xxxx I MISS YOU! EEE!
| Nana56 chapter 1 . 10/17/2010
Hmmmmm. Interesting. Might even agree with Dean about it keeping you human.
It would be really hard to watch something die like that. It would give me nightmares, too.
Nice one. :)
| Bundibird chapter 1 . 10/16/2010
brilliant one shot. well done. :) lol, I admit, I clicked on the story because I recognised the lyrics, and breaking Benjamin are awesome. I have that song in my head now.
anyhow- well done. I like your writing style. I felt like crying though for the poor creature. it was a good line about Sam wondering how many me the other creatures they've killed were scared to die.
| spnMom chapter 1 . 10/15/2010
Wow, I was surprised at how much this disturbed me... I wanted Sam to stop killing that thing, even though it had ripped apart people! You wrote that incredibly well for me not to want it to die... *sniff*.
| vonnie836 chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
Very unexpected, yet so very Sam. Wishing for something he can't have just to be told by Dean that he really doesn't want it. It's surprising how we assume that things, people, monsters are not scared of dying, because the kill all the time without mercy. In reality, they are more scared, maybe because they know that they are not going to a good place?
Your muse sure has been busy, good for me though, as I love to read your stories. Is there a rhyme or reason to what you're posting to which site? Not that I'm complaining, mind you, as long as I get to read them, I don't care. Hugs, Vonnie
| KKBELVIS chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
That tear, that fear, that pain… it left an imprint on his soul. Made him wonder, just how many things that they've killed, he killed, were afraid to die too.
The eyes, the snot coming from its gray nuzzle, blood all over its long, mold smelling fur, and one tear driven out of its eyes by fear of dying.
Ah...made me cry. So true. How many indeed. This applies to real life as well. Talking to a vegie gal here.
Funny, gray (Sahdes of) is my fav color.
Thank you for writing this piece!

Aw Dean! X3
| Samantha V chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
Nice story! Interesting how Dean sees in shades of grey and Sam doesn't anymore in the series.
| nwspaprtaxis chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
This beginning: """How do you wanna do this?" / "Quick 'n clean." / Sam had a feeling that 'this' will not go down neither quick nor clean."" is still one of my all-time favorites. It totally sums up their whole lives and I can just hear Dean saying "Quick 'n' Clean" even though everything would inevitably go to shit.
And this line: ""Dean was breathing hard, slumped down a wall, his jacket pushed all the way up to his neck, his gray T-shirt stained with sweat."" does shit to me... SMURFFY! And Dean is so totally momentarily stunned / unconscious for a couple of seconds for me... *cuddles image*
I love how Sam's completely stunned and taken aback by the revelation that **everything** is afraid to die... no matter how evil it is. And I adore how it gets under his skin. And his reaction to it - not sleeping, getting Dean settled up (AW!), doing research for the next case - is completely spot-on.
But my favorite part by far (then and now) is the ending. I love the blunt honesty of Dean, but you can tell there's a great deal of love and concern behind the rough "You look like crap." And I love Sam responding to it. Even just from the end of S4, I miss this. I *ADORE* Dean's """No you don't. ... Gray is a good color, ya know? Keeps you human.""" line and it totally makes me place this fic in early/mid-S4 because I think it's only Post-Hell Dean really understands the gray. And just the quiet subtlety of it makes me feel that this is a Post-Hell Dean hiding just how broken he is from Sam...
GORGEOUS JOB BABE!
And thanks for: """This was betaed by the ever awesome, ever amazing... NewspaperTaxis.""" *blushes* It was all my pleasure...
| Rosetta Brunestud chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
I miss the Sam that could see all shades of gray, always worried about everything, about everyone I hope that he'll be back soon ahaha
Well, I really loved it ~
| Marlowe97 chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
Aww, whew. Good story - or better, good snippet. i think people too often forget that nothing really wants to die before its time, no matter what it eats for breakfast.
Loved the last line (of course I did, right?)
| Heartless BytchhakaHelenBach1 chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
You sneaky little minx you.
"Gray is a good color, ya know? Keeps you human."
No Technicolor 3D imagery for you today!
What a great line. :) Liked your story, even if it was in a grayish area.
