|Reviews for what doesn't kill you|
| rebecca-in-blue chapter 1 . 11/25/2013
This is simply stunning - one of the best takes on Ziva and Eli's relationship that I've ever read. The first scene was very wrenching and hard to read, but I love how you brought it up again so beautifully at the end, with Ziva realizing that she's finally found the loving father she's always wanted in Gibbs. Wonderful work.
| Catmint chapter 1 . 1/3/2013
This is an excellent piece of writing. You've done justice to the complex relationship between the two. Nice mix of emotions and the last line is particularly emotional. Really good writing.

this is possibly the most beautiful and heartbreaking thing i have ever read. honestly.
| Guest chapter 1 . 7/16/2012
That was amazing and I did not expect a one shot to draw me in so well and so quickly - thank you!
| Il'Diko chapter 1 . 10/31/2010
"She shrugs. "I have a father that loves me," she will tell him, and her throat will tighten as she thinks of Gibbs." I love this line, perfect!
| AnotherStupidNickname chapter 1 . 10/28/2010
My lack of eloquency is just a result of your abundance of it. Incredibly well written and impossibly deep.
| spinningleaves chapter 1 . 10/25/2010
Such a wonderful ending to such a complicated relationship for our Ziva! I love the image of her team watchful and ready at the elevator, and of the idea that Ziva wasn't perfect and Eli wasn't a monster and Talia wasn't some saintly sisterly best friend. Excellent realism to the characters!
| pearlpoetess chapter 1 . 10/24/2010
i wish watching ncis, but i don't have a tv in israel. ironic!
there is an israeli saying "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, what does kill you makes your mother stronger."
| 11nivea342 chapter 1 . 10/19/2010
i've really missed you writing NCIS, especially ziva or tony/ziva. this was so great. the beginning memories were so... sad. :( the lack of emotion, or the desperation that ziva felt as she looked for someone to care... heartbreaking. the one where she's in the hospital after the explosion - the line where the glitter form the dress embedded in her skin - kinda gave me shivers and chills and had to re-read it 4 times.
the last one is my favorite, her telling her father hte truth and just... the vision of her family - the men in her life, tim, tony, gibbs, in the bg, waiting for her return to them, defending her honor, ready for her word... just beautiful. and gibbs her father. 3 especially wonderful to re-read after tonight's great ep.
thanks for this!

AW! I love this! :)
| Alidiabin chapter 1 . 10/19/2010
Agreed about the Ziva childhood angst.
Nonetheless, you wrote an excellent Ziva childhood centric piece. The last scene was poignant but not OTT. I loved this fic so much.
| amazingtofu chapter 1 . 10/19/2010
Aww, that was really sweet and slightly depressing/terrifying at the same time. The ending made me start crying. I think you should write more about Ziva and her dad, or at least Ziva, because you really seem to be able to think like her - I mean, you can capture her past and her personality and all the reasons way and fit everything together.
| SemperFi-NavyNCIS chapter 1 . 10/19/2010
I loved this story so much! It shows Ziva's relationship with her father perfectly and I especially loved the part and the end when she thought of Gibbs as being a father that loved her. Brilliant work and I look forward to reading more of your stories
| chossytoss chapter 1 . 10/19/2010
Very well done, nicely written! I love how it traces her character and the burden she carries - moving and angsty but somehow badass at the same time :) Again, great job!
| M E Wofford chapter 1 . 10/19/2010
And the end...Loved it.
