This was a wonderful story. Unlike many Harry Potter rewrites this wasn’t dark or bitter at all which was quite refreshing. There was no character bashing or resentment throughout the story and there was a constant feeling of affirmation, hopefulness, positivity that I find is quite uncommon. While I do like dark, bitter, cynical, and twisted stories in their own right, this story was very refreshingly positive without sacrificing genuine heartache, pain, and tragedy. In a way, the positivity of the story made those moments of loss and suffering that much more poignant. This was a great read that kept me interested the whole way through. It wasn’t predictable and it made some great unique and original ideas. I love snakes and I love parseltongue so I was especially delighted by the new attributions you gave parsel magic and the inclusion of a delightful snake familiar. Also, TREVOR! this is the first fic I’ve read where Trevor has not just a role but a heroic, unexpected, and passionate contribution. Thank you for sharing this!

Ohhh boy how i hope harry fix neville's parents, i only saw couple of fics. Where neville's parents has been healed by harry. Neville deserve a parents who show him loved and im pretty sure agusta will regain her happiness once her son and alice is normal again

Ohhhh boy... That title 'backlash' screams danger

How dare Dumbledore feel upset? How dare he force the child on the Dursleys without asking their permission? How dare he never visit in ten years, knowing they hate magic? How dare he pretend there was nothing he could have done for Harry? Snape did something for Harry in only a few hours. Dumbledore should have done that years ago. A man who pretends to himself that he is good is worse than an evil man who knows what he is. Dumbledore is a Philistine, a hypocrite, all nice on the outside but uncaring inside. It's your choices that define you, Dumbledore, not your fury, not your platitudes and not your tears.

I hate Snape, but this Snape has changed. Dumbledore hasn't changed. If Snape changed back and the Dursleys resumed their previous treatment of Harry, this Dumbledore would do nothing. He's the same Dumbledore. He would permit abuse from Dursleys and Snape. Then squeeze out a tear years later and claim he could have done nothing.
