You wanted one last review, and you shall have it. That was an absolutely brilliant way to end. You caught me out-I didn't expect it to wrap up that way at all. I thought Purdey had been knocked out on assignment, and she was going to wake up in the seventies, lying on the floor of an abandoned warehouse or something, with Gambit and Steed looking down at her. But that wouldn't have explained how she knew all that future stuff, would it? You've made it something much more ordinary, and that works even better. She's older, and she fell asleep watching "Spooks" on TV. Nice one. :-)

Now the main bit-the Purdey and Gambit interaction. This was an absolute joy to read. You really got their banter spot on, softened slightly because they're an old married couple now, finally. I read their exchanges three times I loved them so much. But then you know I'm a sucker for Purdey/Gambit joy, especially old married couple Purdey/Gambit joy. Sweet and funny and dead on. A lovely wrap-up. Brava!

Who is shouting her? :O It's got to be a voice from her old life, hasn't it?

I'm still reading, if no one else. :-) Another great chapter-very tense. The question I have now is whose voice it is she's hearing right before she blacks out. I have my suspicions...

One more chapter to go, so it'll be fun to see how you wrap this up.

Ooh, this stuff is new for me. Naturally, you know which bit I'm excited about-Purdey heard Gambit's voice! Is it real? Where is he? In the future, or the past? Is there a twist along the line? And is there any particular reason she's hearing him? She's dreaming about him, anyway, so I have a good feeling on that front. ;-)

Keen to see how this one turns out, and how you'll get Purdey home. If she gets home...

Oooo, "Purdey, wake up!" - it's crossing into LoM/A2A territory, too, now! Intriguing!

Can't help feeling Purdey's coping rather better with being catapulted 40 years into the future than I would. Intrigued to see how this one pans out!

I admit I didn't read this because I had no idea who Purdey was! However, I'm glad I have now! This was lovely! I love the Harry and Ruth references and her conversation with Ruth was lovely! xxx

I do hope you keep posting. Purdey finding no trace of Steed et al. made me feel really sorry for her! I'd like to see how things work out.

Oh, poor Purdey! Perhaps she could run herself through the system and get some clues about why she's here maybe?

Ok, so I haven't ever really watched The Avengers (only snippets) but I am intrigued by this. I'm interested to find out why Purdey is in the wrong time and what she'll add to the team. I'll keep following and find out!
