Wow. You really have a knack. Great writing, as all your other stories.
| OldSFfan chapter 3 . 7/10/2012
My husband died of congestive heart failure. Very personal story for me.

I always love your stories, your writing is so good. I'm almost afraid to read this one, I sure hope House doesn't die in the end. Season 7 ended so stressfully that I would love a House and Wilson live happily ever after ending.
I've really enjoyed reading all of your recent updates. I hope you will have the opportunity to update Royal Society soon-that story is exceptional.

thanks again for the new chapter, too. It's an oppressive story, but as always in your tales I like the personal chemistry between House and Wilson. They are amazing.
| Jack Brocket chapter 3 . 5/18/2011
Somehow you've made it more real. House's leg. I don't know how you did that - the disability is obvious and fundemental to the show, and yet it never really sank in as an actual disability. Likewise, there are other fics out there in which House is sick, but you can read through them first chapter to fifteenth and it doesn't affect you in the same way this story manages in three chapters. Something about your writing style just brings it to life. I can't tell you what the hell it is, but I can say it's brilliant, and I can say I'm jealous. Can't wait to see what's in store.

This is brilliant. I am so hooked.
| TetraFish06 chapter 3 . 5/17/2011
Excellent chapter. I am so glad you are updating. The way you write House is so in character!
| Dara-si chapter 3 . 5/17/2011
Soooo promising:-) please continue soon:-)

I don't know why, but I always think of your stories as British. I think it must be because of your story "Royal Society", which is certainly one of my favourites. Take a Victorian setting and throw a cynical and grumpy man/woman in it and I'm hooked! Anyway, that about your stories being British don't make sense at all.
I like your stories a lot. They certainly bear a couple of readings and I think they have a great deal of heart in them, thumping solidly. Solid is exactly what your writing is. I always know that I'll get good writing (your descriptions really paint vivid images, dialogue is touching) and intriguing plots. This story's plot is, in my opinion, the most mind-awakening yet. I'd thought that it would make a great fanfic that I would like to follow.
Sometimes I wish actually that the House series could bring a part of your fanfic universe into its world. I have yet to watch this season of House, as I live in Sweden (a country who is one House season behind) and - on top of that - a 17-year-old with no knack for downloading. Who knows? The computer might explode! I do have a hunch, though, that it has somewhat lost its old shine and glory:(
I hope this comment will make you happy and that you don't think it's over the top: you really are my favourite writer here. Honestly, your stories are the only ones I read.

In the nicest possible way, because this is very good and I don't want to offend - he had edema in both feet in Chapter 1. Why is it a surprise to Wilson at the end of Chap 2? Maybe you need to tweak it so it is a surprise to him that it is worse, or some other symptom? Anyway, I hope you continue.

You've got me hooked. Pretty intense...
| TetraFish06 chapter 2 . 2/10/2011
Great! I like the way that you have depicted their friendship. I look forward to reading more!
| damigella chapter 2 . 2/10/2011
I love the idea of Wilson admitting that if they share a flat it's for mutual benefit. And I appreciate your choice of ignoring TPTB and going your own way.
Edema, on the other hand, I find frightening. I know, I'm a lightweight.
| tailkinker.au chapter 2 . 2/10/2011
Love this :) Love the detail, Wilson's realisation of the extent of House's disability and the acknowledgment of his own problems. The whole 'leg' thing has been so badly missing since the third season mostly, nice to see it being an issue here, that sort of problem doesn't just 'go away'.
| Spot and Punk chapter 2 . 2/10/2011
Hmmm... I'm intrigued, you have me hooked!
