No one except Dumbles knows who Tom Ridle grew up to become. He disappeared after Borgin and Burke's, at say 19 or 20, and came back to start a War at approximately SIXTY years old.
As all good little Victorian era stuck in time magicals do, Frank will have married at 18,and ad kids, n heir and a spare, imediatley. He is only thirty, now. Frank has no effnig CLUE who Tom Riddle is!

Changing Canon just because you think it ought to be changed is, well, (besides annoying, and aggravating, and it pissed me off) pretty much the entire point of fanfiction.

Why would 'the Levitation spell' (incantation- wingsrdium leviosa)(the incantation- is not the name) be the very first lesson, when in Canon it was on Halloween... The lesson that upset Hermione and sent her crying to the troll bathroom. Two lessons a week, eight weeks till Halloween. That's Iike, lesson sixteen.
The problem is- Canon doesn't cover that first ever lesson in charms, and the first time we see that class IS Halloween.

If it ain't in the fic body, it doesn't exist. Fix the story, don't just write an author note. Out of 950 some fics I read at least once, I may have conciously read an a/n - ten times?

Oh... And I know the fic police aren't what they were ten years ago, but WAAAAAYYYYY too much a/ns going on. Quit counting your reviews, write your fic, it's not a contest.

I think you have a Harry story that can stand alone, without adding a "someone else is the boy who lived". Almost like, once he appears, you have to go back and give Him nine chapters of background before they can get on the train and progress from there.
So... I'm not really looking forward to all this "boy who lived is not Harry"- er, stuff.

Some friend. The little Goblin buddy COULD take Harry in for an inheritance test, and give him access to a bunch of vaults...and a crapload of GOLD. But noooooooo.

I am probably considered old in fic land. In my early fifties, from Ohio, USA, Caucasian, and did three years of college, but didn't finish. About as out of touch and boring as millennials, Y gens, and X gens can imagine. Last, tail end of the Baby boom, woohoo!
I don't get this 'char', or 'kai' thing. Is that some Euro trend , or have I missed some shift stateside? Nicknames or abbreviated monikers in my mind are first syllable- Rick, Ricky, Mike, Mick, Mikey, Mickey, etc. What is with the SECOND syllable bit?
In, well, fifty three years - I have NEVER heard of 'char' being used for Richard, and can't even concieve of Michael being twisted into 'kai'. It baffles.

very well written story, the character development is remarkable and i find that your storytelling skills rival harry's. it is refreshing to read about these new characters and events, ways of solving canon problems that most authors like to brush over or avoid altogether. i'm excited to read more, though i apologize for not having found this till a few days ago. i will certainly review every further chapter, and based on the progression of your writing abilities so far, i'm sure they'll be very interesting. good luck, and thanks for the writing so far!

Story has a fair few glitches, but Harry is generally characterized well; believable, and likable.

Mostly entertaining so far, but 33 chapters in and still haven't reached 2nd year.
