This is without doubt the most sophisticated and compelling imagining of the SM vampire world that I have encountered. The interweaving of the various layers of the story is masterful and I feel so much for Carlisle - his every thought and action is believable and heartrending. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you!

Dear God, woman, I love you!

That was the most moving, touching description of Edward's change I've ever read. Carlisle is such a good soul, it makes you want happiness for him, and that is what Edward represented to him. A companion, a friend, a son, all these things has he created for himself, and I can't find it in me to condemn him for it.

OMG! Your writing never ceases to amaze me... This chapter... Once again, fantastic! I love it! It is so perfect- exactly as I imagined it happening! This will always be one of my favourite fanfictions. 3 honestly, these words do not even begin to describe how much I loved this chapter and indeed the whole fic... Just... Bravo!

Ahhh, so so good. I really love the relationship between Carlisle and Edward. Granted, I can understand why Edward resents this new life but I have always loved how Carlisle really just tried to do his best and keep his word to Elizabeth. Great job! Thanks for the update.

Wow! I loved it. I like the fact that the name was as important as it was in the last chapter. William had spent Carlisle entire life time trying to mold him in his own image and failed. Now that Carlisle has a son the name once again becomes important but only in that it is creating a family, a bond that he didnt have. Its sweet how worried and indecisive he was a far cry from the patriarch of Breaking Dawn. Yet you can see the beginnings of maturity, like a new father he is learning to see all sides and is now focusing on how it will affect Edward. I like that Carlisle seemed a little panicked, telepath, haha. New fathers are adorable. Lol I adored how you've described Edwards paragliding 'bottle green' eyes, its new and different and i totally pictured a seven up bottle. Thanks for the update it was brilliant! I loved it.

Wow, I've been waiting for this one!
I can't remember if I asked this before, but why did you choose to have Carlisle meet Edward's dad? I don't remember anyone (well SM) mentioning this or even Edward saying he had seen Carlisle's memories of him. In fact he's mentioned so little I figured he had no memory of him, even vicariously through Carlisle.
On the other hand, I don't know the guidebook as well as I do the books :-)

Oh, poor Carlisle :(

I can't remember if I reviewed this last chapter. I know I read it at work so I might not have had a chance. Either way, you know how much I love our dear Stregoni! HIs father deserves to live with the torment of knowing his son was killed doing his dirty work! The death of Elizabeth still makes me so mad! And now poor Carlisle! Ugh! My heart just aches for him. This is SOOO good! Thanks for the update.

Beautifully done. I should be sleeping, but I just don't want to stop reading.
