One of the finest DC crossover fictions I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I'll admit I don't know much about the Genius Girl comics, but I got enough that it wasn't a problem. This is a more silly and wish-fulfillment style story and that's just fine. It's handled quite well and I hope to see more of it soon. Thanks, michaelsuave.

Considering there are MANY Starbucks in the real version of Las Vegas (NewYorkNewYork hotel and casino itself has three - and it is the LEAST caffeinated), I would expect that the DCU version to at least match it. (The hotel and casino I mentioned is my usual base hotel when at the Casino City; and my typical Starbucks is catercorner to 48th and Crepe and directly down the corner from America's breakfast bar (which is where *I* usually eat breakfast - not at 48th and Crepe). America is a diner - which I "discovered" the first time I stayed there; diners serve "old fashioned comfort food" - and especially for breakfast. America's breakfast bar does NOT begrudge me walking down the hallway to the Starbucks for a tall cup of Starbucks Navy Strength (the most caffeinated they have in stock - which differs on a daily basis) - and that helps because it takes TIME for my typical breakfast to get prepped. (Hash browns, hard-cooked eggs, corned-beef hash.) Why don't I get coffee at America? Three words - not strong enough. (Found that out the hard way the first time I ate there.)

In DCUO, Ms Vale shows up as one of Brainiac's hostages - which you wind up rescuing in Occupied Gotham (it's not the first time that's happened - no less than Batman had done the same thing earlier); Ms. Vale is to Batman what Lois Lane is to Superman. (Not kidding; you wind up rescuing HER - and Jimmy Olsen - from the "bottled" Daily Planet later. in the tailchase of the first part of the Heroic Arc.)

The reviewers that are critical of the idea that the Batman (or any of his Rogues) can lose forget something; the very reason the Rogues (of ANY member of the League - including Batman - or any of the rest of the League) ARE Rogues has everything to do with the lines the League does not cross (look up the "Justice Lords" - and what THEY did to those SAME Rogues). Rather amusingly, the Society may hate/loathe/despise the League and its members - however, has it ever (except for one KNOWN case - and even that is known to be a mistake of monstrous proportions - which even the one that did it - none other than Lex Luthor himself - absolutely regrets! - because it blew up in his face) killed any League member? (And we know about that known case; as I pointed out - and so has Lex, oddly enough - it was a mistake of multi-universal proportions.) Batman HAS lost to his Rogues - individually - before; it's been documented in several cases - Bane broke Batman's back, for example. (Having your back broken is a definite "L" in anybody's book.) In short, there are lines that even the Society (and the membership thereof) won't cross, either. Killer Croc (in this AU) crossed those lines - which is likely why nobody (in the Society) came to his defense. Xander is not fighting the League - or even the Society; however, he is - instead - pranking both. (He's not the first to do that; consider Myxlplik; he's defintely not above pranking the Society - though he's mostly known for bedeviling Superman; Larfleeze is no friend to the Sinestro Corps, either (though he's known mostly for driving the GLC up trees). Just because this is a comic-book universe, it's not black and white - even though it was originally drawn that way.
