The sudden appearance of "Fluffy" is a great punchline to the running gag about nicknames – you have to pause and think, 'is this Harry's invention? did he accidentally get it right, or learn it (and start using it) at some point? or is "Fluffy" not the cerberus' name in this universe?'

To user Diametrik: I'm pretty sure it's a play on the Japanese custom of "harakiri,ritualistic suicide), which dishonoured samurai would commit. Harakiri, in essense, is the only way to find "death with dignity" for a disgraced samurai (usually disgrace means either letting their masters die, disobeying them, or something similar). Cheers!
