If I had to guess I'd say the goauld don't use cyber warfare because they can't use it. Their systems are probably isolated and you'd need a hacker on the ship to do something. Hackers are creative minds and you can't have something like that in underlings.
The Tollans have no excuse... except maybe that they're too peaceful for their own good. :D

Very interesting story. I found it rather disconcerting at first that the story was not centered on SG-1 or any specific team, but once I accepted that this story was not character driven (despite using characters for perspective) it was enjoyable for what it was.

this story is awsome very well thought out plot great reimagining of the story still sticking to the general plot but different enough to keep me guessing i even thought everyone's favorite jaffa was going to kick the bucket. can not wait for more.

You've got my vote as one of the best SGC AU stories I have ever seen. grin - too bad you weren't at the writing committee.

Only point I'd make, why not pull the gate closer to the surface, rather than excavate such large cargo elevators?

I am very, very impressed with this story so far. It is a tad bit slow, but you've managed to add a human and realistic side to the story that a tv show couldn't hope to match. What's more is you've managed to do well with excellent writing.
I very much look forward to any updates.

Nice to see SGC using some advanced tech compared to the series.

Much better. Stargate had alot of potential, but too many constraints.

SG1 also became an albatross to all their allies. Earth was saved and all the others became extinct.
