![]() ![]() ![]() They are so cute |
![]() ![]() ![]() I think it might be the fact that I was in the military that I don’t see anything wrong with Jake’s brusque attitude. I mean, yeah, good manners are socially correct and probably make the workplace a nicer environment, but I’m used to giving and receiving orders/tasks/objectives in a no-nonsense way. Of course, when we were underway, we were on rotational watches 24/7, so there wasn’t really much point to saying good morning, etc. since the concept of a work day wasn’t a concrete thing. Besides, no one’s going to pleasant when they’ve got the mid-watch, lol. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love Edward’s present, but I do think Bella was wrong for not having installed the hard drives. I mean, she is supposed to be working for her paycheck after all. I also think it was pretty rude for Tyler to bash Jacob about a personal issue in front of Bella. He wasn’t setting a very good leadership example, especially if he gets upset that Jacob barked at Bella about her failure to get work done. That being said, I know this is fiction, and I do love the story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay one more! It’s 3 am here and I am still reading when I have to be up at 5 |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, the good ‘ol days of Jon Miller, Joe Morgan, Chuck Thompson, and Joe Angel. I spent a lot of late nights with them. Feel the thrill of baseball, on the radio! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hey! What’s wrong with having a Captain Picard Bobblehead? Lol. Love rereading this fic! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I would love a future outtake. Bella deserves a family. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I read this when it was being uploaded and I remember enjoying it. I decided to reread it and found some of the humor mean spirited. Maybe I am getting more sensitive in my old age. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you so much! I loved their journey! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, but if she left her job for a restaurant one, then she and Edward would be free to date! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Loved that he took her to a ball game! *swoon* Growing up in NY, my Mom, sister, and I were huge Mets fans and often went to Shea Stadium. Dad wasn't a sports fan. :) I guess his declaration was his way of letting Bella know that he'd be even less available in the future? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can relate to this Bella on so many levels. I've worked in male dominated industries before and it's not easy. I used to manage an engineering department for a multi resort property management company. There were numerous male employees that I had hired that would flirt with me and ask me out. Of course the answer was a polite no; I didn't date coworkers especially ones who worked for me. Then they would get pissed that I rejected them and then they would go to MY superiors and make complaints about me. You just can't win sometimes. But I'm proud of Bella for sticking it out and standing her ground. And how adorable was Edward on his birthday? XOXO |
![]() ![]() ![]() He's so damn sweet! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm actually glad you dropped the email format! It's not that I don't like it, but it's hard to take all chapter, every chapter. I need verbs, actions, interaction in person... I'm glad they're meeting although I HATE when people show up to check on me. I can relate to Bella! |
