Reviews for Straight on till Morning
Donni chapter 1 . 11/2/2015
loved it!
BeyondMyReach chapter 1 . 6/13/2014
brilliant. Now that you mentions it, Sherlock does seem awfully like a child. A big, grown up, intelligent and maybe even spoiled child, but a child nevertheless. Love how John made that Peter pan connection.
Kila9Nishika chapter 1 . 7/29/2012
That... is a bit terrifying. And incredible. Well done, REALLY well done.
Guest chapter 1 . 7/18/2012
Love this.
PrincessPurity chapter 1 . 5/29/2012
Brava... Damn it. I don't usually like out and out Holmes/Watson shipping, but this was actually Quite spectacular. Way to go.
MadaMag chapter 1 . 4/10/2012
Thanks for cookies. And for story.
Chaotic Memory chapter 1 . 2/2/2012
The last few lines were fantastic, it honestly left me breathless. I love fics that have a Peter Pan focus on them, and this is one of the prime examples why. All the little details about Sherlock's mannerisms, and comparing them to Pan...well done!
kasandra16 chapter 1 . 11/4/2011
That was wonderful.

The analogy between the two really is uncanny. :-)
Azamiko chapter 1 . 10/13/2011
Very neat.
pufftin chapter 1 . 9/23/2011
brilliant beyond description. Amazing character development. amazing voices.
helva2260 chapter 1 . 4/26/2011
I think this is one of the best character examinations of Sherlock I've read - there really is something Pete Pan-ish about him, isn't there?

And that last line is just perfect (and almost enough to make me shed a tear at the thought of it).
Eyebrows2 chapter 1 . 4/9/2011
Just found this - what a gorgeous concept and story. Really touching, poignant, romantic, funny. Loved how you worked the plot in too - Sherlock is obviously solving a case using his talent and perseverance, not stumbling into it. Really fun, thanks!
ElvendorkInfinity chapter 1 . 3/10/2011
Holy...wow. This is amazing, truly - the parallels you drew were excellent, and Sherlock really does come across as something like Peter Pan, doesn't he? I also love the comparison of John to a Lost Boy. Simply wonderful writing, the whole thing - the progression, the gradual development, the...everything. :)

The translating of what Sherlock and Mycroft were saying to what they actually meant ("It hardly sounds stimulating," / "I don't want to play." etc) - brilliant!

"He either didn't want to grow up or hadn't quite accepted that he should do." - I loved this line. It's just...so Sherlock. And really fantastic.

The "girls are icky" bit...XP

Sherlock being compared to Bambi...! So cute. And I liked the fact that he didn't even notice the injury and just wanted to keep going. Very him.

"Who is Tinie Tempah and why can't he spell his own name?" - My thoughts exactly. XD

"He thinks, as he hears Sherlock breathing rhythmically beside him, that maybe the detective had saved him at just the right moment."

"Anywhere could be a Neverland."

"...even adults didn't want to grow up."

All simply wonderful lines.

"To die will be an awfully big adventure." -Very nice comparison drawn, really does summarise Sherlock's general attitude to danger, doesn't it?

Jason Layton chapter 1 . 12/27/2010
To die would be an awfully big adventure is written on my wife's coffee cup, never associated with the Holmesian sociopathic view before now, very good!
