Awesome chapter

I recognize that exchange between Stoic, Hiccup and Gobber. That's from a deleted scene from the movie. I almost wish they had kept some more of the dialogue from it because it was hilarious.

I'm starting to think there might be a little more to the Dragonoids than initially suspected. Maybe they actually did come on a mission of peace and the obliteration of D.C. was an accident realized just a little too late. And then, with no proper lines of communication, humans took the offensive, Dragonoids took the defensive and two-hundred odd years later, they've all forgotten what the fighting was all about it. Now they're just fighting for the sake of fighting.

And maybe, some of the Dragonoids have at last realized what the problem is and want to correct it.

That's what I'm leaning towards.

Did, did the Dragonoid plans to make contact with the humans?

There must be a dissident faction within the Dragonoid themselves.

Your Assault Frame stand at over 16 meters, that is tall dude.

Have you played Armored Core or Front Mission? The mechs in there are at least 5-10 meters tall. 16 meters seems a bit overkill, and make a nice big target for airborne units. Though, to penetrate the Dragonoid's armor, which might take heavy punishment, the AF need to be able to lift heavy conventional ordnance, since lighter energy weapon aren't available to humans.

These just keep getting better! I was wondering how the dragonoids would look like, and now that you've got some descriptions out, I think they're damn cool. Also, addressing the politics and leadership within the Dome is a nice breath of fresh air from all the action so far. I agree, turning the dragons into giant transforming mechs will be a challenge, bit that's exactly what sets your story above and apart from the rest! The character dynamics and relationships cam only get more interesting from here on out. Keep it coming, I really look forward to your updates!

I like how you've done a whole futuristic and military aspect to this story. It makes it fresh, like a breath of fresh ass. air. Nah, I'm just joking with you. I like what your doing but I can't say that I'm so wild about you directly following the path of the movie. Maybe you should explore the bounds of this new and VERY interesting world? Add some spices to your sugar patty. This story is definitely worth continuing

A cool AU story. Reconciliation between species won't be nearly as easy in this setting.

I forgot to mention the See You Tomorrow montage in my last review. I know this is useless, but I want to say... DO NOT QUIT ON THIS! I anxiously anticipate each chapter if I really like it. This is the best sci-fi HTTYD fic out there and do not quit on a brilliant well-written fic like yours.

I've never seen any mech anime yet, but your story is intriguing enough for me to watch Gundam Wing.

I wonder how on earth you are going to adapt the bonding scene between Hiccup and Toothless, the test flight, romantic flight between Hiccup and Astrid, the graduation, and of course the final battle.
