I agree with everything! Oh, well, maybe not that yaoi is disgusting, because I don't know the definition of yaoi, and I've never seen or read an anime/manga that focus on it and takes it seriously.

If I had any ludicrous doubts whether I'd like this 100 themes or not, they're all vanquished. It's gonna be soooooo gooooood! Oh wait, my mom's calling! BRB.

One good thing is that when I read it again I noticed the connection between "For not reaching out to stop Winry Rockbell when she ran, sobbing, from the room." and "YOU'RE NOT PRETTY, YOU'RE NOT CUTE, AND I WOULDN'T GO OUT WITH YOU IF I HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN YOU AND KING BRADLEY!". :'(

Unsurprisingly, my favortire lines were the two last. But also "Devoid of oxygen, tightened with lactic acid, they still ached and they were stupid.", he sounded like such a kid; a heavy-hearted kid.

This is just so very much everything I could want from this fic-collection. I simply cannot wait to read more. I usually don't say this to people, frankly, I think it's rude, but please update soon? :3

Great first chaper.

I think you managed to keep the characters pretty much IC even though it was in a situation of your own making. And i was really interesting!

I also loved the anti-yaoi rant at the start of the story. Twas as well written as the story and had several valid and entertaining points.

Now I, personally, am a giant fan or RoyEd and yaoi in general. (Don't worry, I'm not going to yell at you) And I don't think it belittles their friendship, nor the things they've survived as both comrades and co-workers. There is plenty of RoyEd that focuses mainly on their friendship and the things they've endured with a mere smidge of romance.

They do look nice together ( The whole Black and Gold. Short and Tall. Calm and Loud, Opposites Attract ) but that's just my personal opinion and I'm not trying to force you into admitting that it's a decent pairing because you obviously dislike it. I just want to say that I think that what you said completely demerits the hundreds of brilliantly written RoyEd stories out there, be they yaoi or otherwise.

Admittedly there have been no indication in any version of FMA that they hold any romantic feelings for each other but that is what fanfiction is all about. It's about writing down something imaginative and different. Something that most likely will not have happened in the Cannon.

For me it's the whole opposites attract thing and I think their colourings complement each other. Now I'm not bashing Royai or Edwin because I do like those pairings also but I much prefer the freeness of following an unrealistic non-cannon paring then trying to restric yourself to the boundaries of cannon love.

I did enjoy reading your opinion on yaoi, it's always fun hearing what other people think. But I feel it was unneccisarily harsh and does belittle the hours of blood, sweat and tears some writers have put into their stories by caling the parining "a near-insulting oversimplification of what they've got going on" and saying "is that it belittles friendship. It's like saying, "A friendly, platonic relationship could never be as powerful as a romantic one."

RoyEd usually occurs when the characters have grown closer as both friends, co-workers and people. There are some Love/Hate things that I'm not too fond off but most stem from the respect both characters hold for each other and it in no way diminshes the value of any friendly bonds they may have formed prior the the relationship.

In fact, in most cases the relaionship they share in RoyEd stories could never have come into being without that all important friendship being there in the first place. It's a vital and irreplacable aspect of their relationship and there would be no RoyEd without it.

This is a cute story, and while I -do- read fics where Roy and Ed pair together I also enjoy a more true to the series representation, which I feel you have captured well here. You manage very well to blend the almost sarcastic humor with the actual dark nature of the storyline (guns, fightin and danger) much like the sense of the original work.

Just remember though, that authors are entitled to creative (and sometimes not so creative) imaginations, and can write what they please, regardless of how true it is to the original story. Oh and also, my dad is thirteen years older than my mom, if you catch my drift ?

Ooh, interesting! And Ed didn't even have to think about that reply, did he? :D I don't think I've seen Roy very often in your stories, but you've got him down pat here, how he blames himself for just about everything.

I have to say that, though I'm a fan of both romantic and platonic RoyEd, I kind of sympathize with your rant. But no matter how you look at their relationship, the whole dynamic between these two is fascinating. In my mind, Ed seems like the kind of person who needs people around him that constantly challenge him and push him to be better than he is (hence, how EdWin was born). And Roy is just...Roy. I really think that after all the horrible things he's gone through in his life, he wants some kind of second chance to do something right, and helping the Elrics regain their bodies would definitely give him something to look back on and feel proud of.

I look forward to reading more of this. These two characters really are one of a kind, and so are authors like you!

I completely agree with you on your non-FMA-yaoi rant. :) The only RoyEd I think is cool is the parental type (which is still completely platonic, of course). I'm really looking forward to seeing what you're goirng to do with this!

Awesome first chapter.I think the title is perfect now that you have explained it in the first chapter,though I could I agree with your rant,some people need to get over it and just enjoy EdWin and Royai.

I loved your last collection, and I must say I'm slightly relieved to find it is not Edwin (I accept it, it is canon, but I have never really liked Winry for some reason.) You are totally right, good Roy and Ed stories are the best. while I love both series, do think the manga explores the relationship btw Roy & Ed much better. I am very excited to see where this ends up, update whenever possible (I hate pestering, I know you can't come up with stuff on a schedule)

I'm very glad that other people besides me see thier relationship as strictly platonic, I hate looking for fics about mustang and Ed and only finding yaoi :( great first chapter too, I think it does a really good job of setting the mood for the rest of the chapters to come :) Im definitley favoriting this story, update again soon please! :D

I liked the way you began the story with roy cursing every part of his body. It is something I do too. Both of them seem very much in character. I loved it! Can't wait for the next update.. :)
