This story is absolutely one of the absolute best I have ever read! Which is why it's also heartbreaking to see that it was last updated in 2016. Is there any chance of you picking this back up and completing it?

So, I just wanted to review here right fast to say a couple things. First, this is *still* an awesome story, and I love it, and (if) you do pairings, I can't wait to read who it is! You seem just diabolical enough to make a credible Harry/Draco (that isn't Stockholm in it's purest essence) and make me like it lol. (nothing against slash, just... canon!Draco is a downright turd and there's so few that do credible redemption arcs for him).

Second... I'm sorry, but I can't stand Hermione's thought process.I really *really* wanted to, and I even think it suits her, but... being a bookish little swot my own self makes me feel mildly indignant on our fictional favorite bookworm's behalf that her thought process is so entirely linear and... basic? Hm. I couldn't tell you what puts me on the wrong foot about it exactly, but I feel many think it's entirely "color coded revision schedules" Hermione Granger lol.

Third, I haven't got a clue if anyone has pointed this out yet, but it's been *itching* at my subconscious since you introduced Grimmauld into the setting... where is the portrait of Walburga Black, Sirius's mother, which shrieks insults in the entryway anytime someone so much as breathes so loud? Did they somehow discover a way to remove her? I've long suspected it would be *hilarious* if Fred and George came up with the idea to just vanish the entire wall that holds her portrait. Permanent Sticking Charm? Well it can't extend all the way out to the wall. Yeah, who needs this wall anyways. Yeah, never liked it myself, positively gauche. *EvanescoMrs. Weasley shrieking from the kitchen). :D Or, my final thought, is this like the mysterious disappearance of Sally-Anne Perks? Hm? Walburga Black's portrait? Can't say I heard of it? Lol.

So far, this story is awesome. All your HP stories are awesome really. But in response to your AN, I suspect that the reviews weren't coming on this story because few readers enjoy being shamed or guilted into reviewing. I have so much respect and gratitude for authors on this and other sites for providing even more wonderful tales in the Potterverse, and I suspect many other readers do too. But there's a trend where people wait to review till the end of the story. There's another trend where people simply favorite and follow. And for those of us with varying degrees of social anxiety, ANs calling us out for not reviewing makes us feel absolutely terrible, like we've committed some onerous crime. I implore you on behalf of readers everywhere to please stop shaming and guilting reviews out of readers. Take the hits/faves/and follows as a sign of your success, because, again, you really do write amazing fics. I've devoured SoS, A Game of Chess, and I believe one other in the last week and I'm still here, though this is my first review. Toot your own horn if no one else will, there's nothing wrong in being proud of work you've accomplished.

Nononono... after hundreds of pages of work on this series of stories and no end?! I checked that you posted other stories after this one so you are still writing and so there is still hope this will be finished. You have an great writing style and the ability to weave an intriguing captivating and unique storyline it would be a shame not finish such and excellent story (or should I tell novel?) unfinished after so much work and time you already put into it. Obviously by the reviews I am not the only one who is begging for an continuation. I am putting in on alert in hope.

I am revisiting some of the old fanfiction that I used to love. A lot of it hasn't held up to my current taste, but this one isn't one of those. This story is so good, it breaks my heart. What a pleasure it was to read it again after a few years ️

I fell into this story and am thoroughly engrossed. I delight in your characterizations, and how each person is uniquely themself, even when there are more than one of the same person, only with different experiences, making them same, yet different.

I love how you play with the experiences make the person, how charming Draco’s memories so he thinks like his 14 year old self revealed how at heart, he is the same good person he became, that good heart only covered by the posturing he believes necessary.

I am curious about what happened with Percy, and whether the fact that Baby Dark Lord could not pass the Weasley wards meant that he is inherently evil (hope not) or if it a result of the fact that tuning the wards to exclude Death Eaters also tuned them to exclude Tom Riddle in particular, regardless of the form he took. His magical signature would be in each and every Dark Mark, after all.

I am so looking forward to various Reunions: Harry (A and B) and Sirius, Severus A and Severus B.

I want to see them all healed.

Very good writing! I am hoping the long hiatus is not due to giving up fanfic writing altogether, despite writing original fic. I know several professional writers who write fanfic as well... it does not have to be eitheror. I wish I could read some of your original fic as well!

I love the technobabble. I much prefer to have some exposition... and you did it through dialog, so that anchors it in the story and the plot. I love your writing and your characterizations.

I love Lily’s shade, providing commentary. She also knows both worlds (or perhaps more... do you suppose that after death a person unites with all of their various selves? That would be strange, but it would also be strange to have a bunch of Lilys and Severuses (Severii?) etc. running around. The afterlife has got to be a strange place!)

I was almost going to pass this story by due to the “dark themes” mentioned in the summary, but it was the sequel to your amazing Secrets of Slytherin, so I had to read it! So glad I chose to read it. I am enjoying each chapter!

Keep writing! I love the characterization here, somehow staying true to the canon characters we all know and love yet fleshing them out far and beyond anything we had in canon. You definitely are a gifted writer. I've read your other two stories with these characters, The Secret of Slytherin and A Game of Chess, and I love how they all tie together. This series has been good entertainment, even as a work in progress. AO3 also stops at ch. 26, but says the story should be 33 chapters, which shows me that the rest is written, but for some reason was never posted anywhere due to the author's illness. I hope the author survives and I hope someday to read the rest of the fic.
