This was awesome. Tension humor is tough to write and you nailed it. You also have their friendship and banter down just right. I just wish you'd write more H50 stories. Faye Dartmouth has a birthday every year, you know. ;)

Funny how you search for steve stories and the last 4 i have clicked on have been all about fucking danny and HIM being hurt why the fuck are they always coming up in steve searchs!

Really liked this. It's a great take on Steve & Danno's relationship and one of the few where Danno's hurt & Steve is providing the comfort.

Great story! Loved the excitement and you described the situation perfectly to the characters. I'm a sucker for Danny and fic with Danny suffering and hurt/comfort so this fit the bill perfectly! Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Fave parts;

There. It was off. He'd take Danny back to his place and they could treat it by applying a paste of baking soda and water to the sting. There was an old wives' tale that urine helped heal a sting and he was going to tease Danny about it—just for a minute, and mainly as a distraction—when he realized Danny's eyes were closed and he was panting.

More like hyperventilating.

Danny pushed the towel covering his upper body off and arched his back, rolling his head restlessly. Steve knew that couldn't be good; he'd seen men in combat exhibiting similar symptoms after being wounded and it usually meant they were about to take a turn for the worse.

- Great! I actually found myself thinking "hurry, hurry"

This was perfection! I do love a good Danno/whump with worried!Steve, but this was full of spot on characterizations that I adore so.

I've read a few where Steve tried to get Danno to swim, but the box jelly sting was new and a powerful instrument fro some good snark and worry.

I love that you nailed the connection between these two, which is a bit harder than some fandoms with male/female partnerships. The camaraderie and affection underlining the snark has to be subtle, but you mastered it.

Very impressed. I do hope you continue for this fandom!
