| Deadly Crow chapter 1 . 12/31/2011
You left me impressed and out of breath with this! Starting with the aspect of the story, it brings lots of sad thoughts encircling the feelings of an unknown someone towards Mia, as the majority, I thought about Diego being that one.
No bad grammar, and straight to the point. I praise your awesome work using Charley, and letting the readers know this only in the last paragraph (It's the last 'character'-to say so- I'd think of),that makes it quite unique and special.
Just a little thing to point out, the reason I didn't figure out was I wasn't aware of the meaning of the word nurture(I am not ignorant, just I don't have enough vocabulary), but personally, I think it makes it clever for the smart ones, maybe you could have avoided this world, it's just my opinion.
Who would think it -or him- to have such a burden? And to add, the last paragraph was very, very sad:
"No, there was nothing that I could do, but I take comfort in the fact that no one could have expected me to do anything, Mia couldn't expect anything, and I know she forgives my impotence, after all I'm only a houseplant."
In just a few words, all was said, the impotence of watching her murdering and a small relief of knowing he could do nothing.
Awesome one and to favorites.

I love your use of language in the story, it flows through nicely, and when you do use short sentences, they're meant to be and powerful.
The most impacting aspect of this story would definitely be the fact that you don't know who the POV belongs to until the very end. It's different to all the rest of the angsty Miego and Phoenix and Maya mourning for Mia, though I'm not saying I don't enjoy those.
This was just more...unique...and an interesting read.
So, starling introduced me to you and I've heard you're a top writer. :)
Haha, funny I'm known as 'the person who comments on most of Starling's work' XD
Hope I'll be accepted as a member of this staff, though I'm not that good of a writer myself. *blushes*
| TrumpetChick chapter 1 . 2/21/2011
That really was quite lovely. It makes me want to cry... oh, Charley...
| TinaBanina96 chapter 1 . 1/18/2011
Aww poor Charley! I thought it was Godot til about 3/4 of the way. Great ending :)
| Two Minutes Past Dawn chapter 1 . 1/3/2011
BEST. TWIST. EVER.
Totally expecting Godot's spirit or whatever. :)
| WHADDAPACK chapter 1 . 12/22/2010
OMG. CHARLEY? :O That got me surprised.
Anyway, its a great fic! Creative, well-crafted, and engaging.
| red eagle chapter 1 . 12/14/2010
HOLY S**T CHARLIE! I FORGOT ALL ABOUT YOU I'M SO SO SORRY!
Very original. Never seen a fic like this before. Brilliant work, as always.
| high improbability chapter 1 . 12/14/2010
Oh, how original! This is a first.
Anyway, wonderful job! For a...houseplant, Charley does think a lot, doesn't he?
| starlingnight chapter 1 . 12/13/2010
I couldn't figure out the twist. Going over it, of course it was all right there, but I couldn't get it! T_T
Did you hear? That Oprah person who hosts a talk show came to Australia with 300 Americans. Apparently this is big news. She reckons this place has a vibrance to it. What does that mean? She's not the one paying for the trip - Australian taxpayers are-but apparently Oprah is godlike over in America, and anything she endorses is bought on masse, so...good for tourism?
Also Wikileaks. The Wikileaks guy is from Melbourne, Australia! That's where I live! MY CITY EXISTS INTERNATIONALLY 8D
I looked for Ghosts of Sparta at Gametraders today, but I couldn't find it. I finished Birth By Sleep and my DS died so I need something new to play D:
*rereads story* A thought just came to me! Mia/Charly - crack pairing of the century!
| Edgeyrocks123 chapter 1 . 12/12/2010
lol, Charlie. XD I thought it was Godot until you told who it was. Nice fic! That was an intersting viewpoint to use.
| Something Simpler chapter 1 . 12/11/2010
The plant! I've forgotten what they call it but that certainly was a twist.
As soon as you started describing Phoenix I couldn't help but wonder who it was, Grossburg or Godot or someone. But no, the plant!
Super writing as well :)
| Three Graces chapter 1 . 12/9/2010
For a houseplant, he really does have a very refined and distinguished manner about him.
| VelleVette chapter 1 . 12/9/2010
Haha! _ I saw it coming, but it's still so cute! Nice idea.
| karmageddon chapter 1 . 12/9/2010
It seemed so sad at the first part, but at the end, I didn't know whether to sob or laugh.
