The only obvious question is if Harry was fifteen months old as canon when Lily died why is he four years old four years later? If she did not die as canon how did she die and what happened to James?

You need to straighten out your time line. In this chapter you have Severus saying that Harry dreams of Lily's death three years ago but in the first chapter Severus is grieving over the death of Lily that had occurred four years ago. You have to decide which one it is suppose to be.
This is a good story despite the time line glitch

Interesting story so far. However, you have Harry at four years old, yet you have Severus grieving that it was four years ago that Lily died. So in your story did Lily die when Harry was only three months old? Just wondering

The extra author commentary isn't necessary. I really wish it wasn't before and after the story, it's a hassle to skip and a relunctness to continue to read if the authors note becomes longer than the story itself.

Oh well... I'm glad,.. :D *speechless*
I kinda thought the snake will gone... glad not.
There's nothing really heavy here... kinda glad. Huff...
| Griffin Raven chapter 6 . 4/13/2013
I'm surprised that Severus only mentioned Harry's paseltongue ability but made no mention about Lucius's knowledge that the "blood wards" around Harry Potter's home had fallen & that the boy had been removed & that he was trying to work out plans to get the boy?
| Griffin Raven chapter 5 . 4/13/2013
In light of little Harry's abusive past its not at all surprising that although Harry clearly wasn't too keen upon going into the forest & also remembered Severus warning him not to go in there but he lacked the necessary skills to stop the more forceful Draco from entering. Although Harry could have ran back into the house to Severus & the Malfoy parents which would have meant he would have had to; (a) allow Draco to enter the forest alone; (b) have had to return Malfoy manor without Draco thus having to explain to Severus & the Malfoy parents where Draco was/or had gone - perhaps Harry felt that he would get into trouble if he didn't do exactly what Draco wished? I'm surprised that young Draco's behaviour didn't remind Harry of his very spoilt cousin Dudley & his friends.
Once Draco & Harry are back at the Malfoy home it will be interesting to see if either the Malfoy parents or Severus will choose to punish the boys for going into the forest when they were told not to do so?

Sure'll if its meant to a secret that Severus has custody of Harry Potter then wouldn't it have been better & safer to given him a different name...and use "Harry" as a nickname or alternatively disguise Harry's appearance with the use of potions, spells or blood adoption? Because it wouldn't take a much brain power for anyone who knew either
of the Potter's to notice similiarities between them & little Harry...plus keeping Harry's hair covering his scar should be done by use of magic/or consealing the scar in someother means as well as the boy's hair? Because the whole notion of Severus just relying upon the little boy keeping his hair over his very famous scar at that age is just
...very un-Slytherin in planning?
| Griffin Raven chapter 3 . 4/13/2013
Severus really should get use to the notion that little Harry is very likely to be asking a lot of questions about all of the strange (at least to him!) things that are going on around him...so perhaps for the sake of Severus sanity & his patience (cough!) perhaps it would be adviseable for him to get Harry a child's book explaining about the wizarding world, magic, history etc? At least then Severus wouldn't be bombarded with questions!
| Griffin Raven chapter 2 . 4/13/2013
Severus, Minerva & Albus really do need to make sure that all of the Dursley family (Vernon, Petunia & Dudley plus Marge Dursley) all get what's coming to them for hurting an innocent little baby/child who was placed into there care upon the murder of his parents? After all if the Dursley's had really disliked/hated Harry being in there home so much then just why hadn't they abandoned the baby/child outside of a hospital, church or anywhere else as they sure'll had time especially if they threatened the child not to reveal there names or address...alternatively they could have dumped him outside of an orphange...yet they choose not, why? Could it be that they received money for the care & wellbeing of young Harry from either Albus Dumbledore or the Potter family trust (Along with any money that they might have claimed from the muggle government) because this money is the only reason I can see why the Dursleys didn't get rid off Harry before?
Severus is going to have a tough time in trying to essentially "de-program" little Harry of all of the Dursley rules but also all of the lies that they also told him about himself, his family & about magic?
| Griffin Raven chapter 1 . 4/13/2013
Would Severus also have noticed that little Harry's speech is perhaps a little behind for his age? Whilst I can understand why a child of Harry's age would be afraid when approached by a stranger (Minerva) but sure'll the amount of fear that she showed by towards her & then later towards Severus should be enough to get even the snarky Severus investigating? Also when Severus picked up little Harry who was unable to stand unaided because
he was so cold...would he also not have felt just how skinny the wee boy was but also how little he weighed?
