Oh my dear goodness. I don't think I've read another Star Trek fic that has nearly half as much effort put into it as yours does. The way you connected everything, from the beginning to the end (nice parallel with the scenes there, by the way. I'm so glad McCoy finally gets some decent coffee!) and all the little remarks in between that keep popping up (especially McCoy's remark about Jim saving the world as a field medic. Wow), I am so beyond impressed I can't even put it into words. This Academy arc that you've created is absolutely fantastic (I read Convergence ages ago and never even realized it was part of a bigger picture) and delves so deeply into the characters backstories that I wish your ideas were able to be put into the movies. In particular I liked your take on Tarsus IV, and your reasoning behind it; how it's an event that was still likely to occur even in the alternate universe, but in a slightly different way. Jim not remembering being there was such unique plot point, and then learning of Toland's own connections to the colony just blew me away.

Gosh. Basically I'm just trying to say that this is one of the best Star Trek fics I have read yet, and the planning you put into this entire thing is astounding. Excellent work. I'm excited to go and read even more of your fics now. :)

Holy smokes...this story...just absolutely amazing! I am astounded by the amount of details and twists and plots you stowed in one story. I love the brotherly relationship between Bones and Jim, and at some point I wanted to break down and start crying. You sure know how to captivate an audience. Really, the accuracy of this story is admirable and you really put a lot of effort and time in this magnificent story. Just...man...this is epic. You left me speechless and mesmerised. Fantastic, absolutely fantastic! Well done and thank you so much for writing this piece of master art.

I have read this story a couple of times and every time I am amazed at how detailed and realistic it is. You capture Kirk in a way that makes him both super-human and vulnerable. It's something that I miss in most stories. I am a huge McCoy fan and again you find the perfect balance between snark and compassion!
This was the first time that I read the post script at the end of the story and I laughed to myself while thinking "this author has background details on her background details!" I commit myself to the stories that I'm reading, so I love that you commit yourself to writing them so thoroughly!

I think... I just read this entire story straight through. I honestly couldn't set it down! Your writing flows and the characters are written as, in my opinion, they're meant to be written. There are just so many things about this that I love that I could gush over but I wouldn't be able to name them all :)
