| too many stars to count chapter 10 . 5/2/2011 School has been eating my life, I've been trying to catch up on this story for weeks now! Haha I like Katniss thinking of a real bear paw when she hears bear claws. Of course she wants to put cheese in it. Katniss thinks absolutely every baked good can be improved with cheese. I like how Katniss can never really let go of her fear of not having enough to eat. The "we shouldn't waste food" comment really speaks to that in my opinion. I'm glad that Katniss saw something was wrong with Peeta. It highlights how use to one another they are. Those pills are seeming more and more useless all the time. Seriously. I have such issues with Peeta's mom. Because I really don't think the story you have him tell here is all that unlikely to have happened at some point in his life. I feel so bad for both of them because they desperately need the comfort but it's so hard for them to accept from one another no matter how badly they want it. I love Peeta's conversation as he's falling asleep. I think it's just what Katniss needed to hear. I think the way you handle the flashbacks is really well done. I get them and it's not something that can be shaken off really easily. Even when I do get up and do stuff there's still that lingering feeling of unease which I think you capture really well. Onto chapter 11! You did a great job with Peeta's flashback and Katniss' reaction. |

Her vision of where he would be without her was heartbreaking, silly, but the kind of thing we think when we are being paranoid. |
