I think that fic broke my heart a little bit - seeing Steve there all stressed out and barely keeping it together, and then he sends Danny away 'cause he wants to protect him. Someone should give Super SEAL a hug

Oh man, you hit this one out of the park. I can see this scene playing out on the show. Many people may have been put off by Steve breaking major rules in this show but I think it shows just how desperately he wanted to put Hesse away. And it also showed just how much he worried about Danny that he left him behind to be with Chin. It really was for Grace and what Danny has with her.

Simply superb. I must say that I thought 'why Kono?' not Danny but then I thought she may have the specialist quals as a sniper, so it made sense...this si just a scene that should have been part of the epi! Thanks for writing it!

I, too, was wondering, where the hell is danny? and this fic just answered that beautifully. because, no matter what, danny IS all about grace. just great. you use writing tools so beautifully,short sentences, beginning with and, just wonderful editing that should make an english teacher FLINCH, but instead builds incredible feeling, and drama. this one, oddly enough, almost brought tears to my eyes. I've read it several times,just wonderfully done. thanks

Great missing scene that explains why Danny did not go with Steve and Kono! That had bothered me as well. Please keep up with the great writing!

Have read all your Hawaii five-o stories and have greatly enjoyed them. You have captured the characters incredibly well. their dynamic, speach, movements, thoughts. Your stories are fantastic to read. This last one was wonderful. Not seeing Danny at the robbery was curiosity but figured it was done to protect him and Grace. Reading this missing scene was perfect. thank you again, and i Hope you continue to write. Danny's little inner dialogues are hysterical.

OH MY GOD! Why are these always so freakin epic? I was actually sitting there watching the episode wondering why on earth Danny wasn't there. Guess, this would explain it. Sad there wasn't any hurt!Danny though...I love those! Oh well...maybe next time huh?
