I really hope this story isn't abandoned.

It's the single most well-written Naruto story I've read on this site. All of the fights were written well, and the detailing and prose were enjoyable as well. But the reason I enjoyed this one much more than The Sealed Kunai was simply because the relationships that were fostered in this story were much more enjoyable to read than Naruto's "harem" in The Sealed Kunai. Ino, Hanabi, Shikamaru, Sasuke: all absolutely masterfully written relationships. I can't even get too mad at the fact that it took probably 700K words for the Naruto-Ino relationship to fully take off due to the fact that I read through the whole thing and it felt appropriate.

And throughout the story, I felt myself actively despising Suna/Gaara/Temari even though they're some of my favorite characters from canon. Same with feeling satisfaction at Darui's death (Omoi's no so much though). Really speaks to how well you've written the story to that point.

Interesting to see the whole "blame Konoha for everything" attitude that everyone except for Taki and Kiri seems to be employing though.

Only "complaint" (isn't really a complaint anyways) is that I don't really understand the description. In the end, Mizuki not telling Naruto about the Kyuubi doesn't seem to be that big of a difference maker. Feels like the biggest difference maker was Asuma wanting Naruto on his team instead of Choji. That allowed him access to a best friend in Shikamaru constantly, who is much more of a team player and has less baggage. It allowed him to build a relationship with a girl in Ino who isn't anywhere near as blind and utter ridiculous in the relationship department as canon Sakura (this story's Sakura is a lot more bearable, both due to less screen time and Sasuke being a lot more tolerable). Also it put distance between him and Sasuke, so Sasuke isn't constantly "threatened" by Naruto's progress as much, and actually reaches a understanding of sorts. Not a big deal by any means anyways.

Minor thing: I'm not one for needing too much "cool shit blow stuff up" plot but I do really hope you bring Wind Style: Rasenshuriken into the story at some point. Sage Mode Naruto throwing a Rasenshuriken vs Pain in anger was one of the coolest scenes in the entire anime. I know you already have so many of your own original Jutsu written into the story (really enjoyed the Cinder ash smoke thing) but still hope you'll bring that, KCM 1&2, and Bijuu mode into this story somehow. Also really hope Naruto get's the Shodai's necklace back at some point, preferably humiliating Ohnoki at the same time.

Ya know I’ve heard of a slow burn for a romance but this is so slow I could get a suntan in a snow storm faster. I’ve never seen a romance go this slow in a fanfic I feel like I could skip 20 chapters ahead and nothing will change.

Hope this one hasn’t died. Would be sad if so.

Hey Kenchi! Don't know what inspired me to write this but, thank you! I remember being in 7th or 8th grade reading this story back in like 2012 and every few years I stop by and read the whole thing over again with all its updates whenever I feel like reading a good ass story. You been part of my childhood and idk I was feeling sentimental after finishing the story one more time. Thanks again.
