Oh I love this so much! I've never seen someone try to take Rome's perspective like this. You've done it so well!
Oh, and correction on the Latin:
You put "Ubi Roma es?," and unless he's addressing a person not present (in which case you should arrange it to something like "Roma, ubi es?" (Rome, where are you?)), it should be "Ubi Roma est?" (Where is Rome?) or "Roma es?" (Are you Rome?), depending on which one you're intending

That was absolutely amazing! I loved it! Once I can login again, I will definitely favorite this!
| TaekwondoAssKicking chapter 1 . 3/16/2014
This is really, really good! Very nicely written and pretty much one of the best explanations out there!
Loved this a lot!

| Yuu3 chapter 1 . 2/1/2013
Awww, I was actually searching for some Rome and Italy ( Veneziano ) when I stumbled upon this story and I have to say, it was wonderful. I love it. Absolutely. My hearts is breaking at this fic, the corner of my eyes stings, and I feel like sniffing. Poor Romano.
| Aisha Kaltinera chapter 1 . 1/1/2013
Okay, so I read this, then lost it, panicked, then found it again. I really love the emotion in this piece, and also how what Roma and Vene mean to Rome, and how he treated them and how they were shaped by that.
| Maya-chan2007 chapter 1 . 10/27/2012
Wow, I love your interpretation of Rome and Romano's (and Veneziano's) relationship! I think I'm going to make this my new headcannon, if you don't mind. I also heard that Rome visits Romano whenever he goes to visit Veneziano, so this really fits that characterization, too. I just love this story so much! Definitely favoriting. _
| CrazedOnigiri chapter 1 . 9/27/2012
I think that the ending should have ended sadder. I was nearly to tears when Italy started ranting about pasta. Total mood killer.
| Bailey chapter 1 . 9/15/2012
Awe that was perfect i loved it so cute and sweet Romano u can neva be replaced
| Ellenthefox chapter 1 . 9/2/2012
This! This is fantastic! The abrupt ending also made it feel more like an actual hetalia episode. Hetalia doesn't teach us history, it gets us intrested in it, this definatly got me intrested and it /is/ a more plausable reason for lovi to be the way he is and yet still love feliciano as a brother. If grandpa /had/ just looked after feli then lovi wouldn't care less about a brother his so called grandfather abandond him for as many other stories say. He wouldn't hate the potato ba***rd for 'trying to take his family away' because he probably would only admit that they're related by blood but not family. You got little feli's character bang on also. The first thing he would think of would be to make his brother happy so he thinks of things that make him happy and that leads to pasta. If you were writeing an hetalia episode it probably /would/ go something like this. I honestly can't belive this isn't more popular.
| Skyebyrd chapter 1 . 8/12/2012
Wow, I can't believe this only has 14 other reviews! I thought this would be one of the "greats" considering how amazing this story is...well, their loss, I guess
Seriously, this was beautiful. The relationship between Rome and Romano is hardly ever touched upon (well, between Roma and Lovino it is, but that's their human aspect, I almost never see them like this as countries) and I thought you did an amazing job with it! I especially enjoyed that Rome had children other than Veneziano and Romano, as people tend to skip over the fact that Rome affected a HUGE area, so I thought it was a lovely touch for Gupta and Heracles to be his sons, as well as Antonio and Francis

Dude, I'm so close to crying right now. Seriously. This was really well done! Good job!
| SmileRen chapter 1 . 1/7/2012
So sad. But so good! could you wright the same story but from Romano's perspective?
