| SonicH2O chapter 48 . 2/22
I've spent the last three days reading this and I figured 1) this level of work really deserves a review 2) with you one review away from an even 650 I really couldn't help myself.
I rarely take the time to read semi novelizations such as this, and I've actually never played this pairing in the game. But it struck me one day that this seemed like a great pairing so I checked for fics and holy crap am I glad I did. There isn't much in the tag but this story is nothing short of a gold mine. Thank you for taking the time to write this, it was truly magnificent. The changes you made were all excellent, the threads you wove in and out of chapters worked wonderfully...my favorite being that all any warden takes away from a fairytale is that wolves are dicks, but anyways...
I'm still emotional about the ending so I'm just gonna say...I didn't think it was possible for Morrigan's dark ritual/arguable betrayal to seem worse then it was in game, but then you went and fucked up everyone. Holy crap. I expected the demon to take the killing blow but the fall out was so much more complicated then I was anticipating (in the best way possible). I wish Wynne had the edge to her in the game that she had in your story, b/c that blood spell she put on Kallian at the end was just...fucking brilliant. I was really dreading reading the last chapter since I like Morrigan so much and I figured her for dead. I know you aren't immediately planning a sequel or anything of that nature, but you certainly left enough strings dangling for more (which is awesome and completely evil too). Mainly I want to see Lelianna slap Kallian up the side of the head when she realizes Kallian is keeping a whole new type of crazy from her. ...Crap though, with Kallian's mind more vulnerable then ever a sequel kinda just terrifies me. You're waiting to see what Morrigan's plan is I take it? Between her and Sandel I swear...the two most complicated characters in all of Thedas.
Before reading this I had been about to start a playthrough as a female city elf, but this fic quickly became my head canon and I can't now...oy. My city elf will never get stabbed by Loghain at Ostagar (you made that part so much better jesus), actually spend weeks traveling with Duncan, or even get to see Daveth step up as slimy but effective leader, infiltrating the Alienage as part of an epic long con, or seriously smart talking Arl Eamon(and I would tragically have to deal with the werewolves). Back to dragon age 2 I suppose haha. It seems you've started a Mass Effect epic now, but I hope that when that is done you either write the sequel or perhaps do something for DA2 (Your femhawke/isabela novelization is one I would kill to see, if thats a pairing you fancy, but I get the feeling you might like Merrill a bit more?) or Inquisition. If not, thank you again for such a fantastic read. You worked amazingly hard on this, and looking at the dates of publish/finish, you spent years dedicated to this, so thank you for sticking with it! Your amazing work is greatly appreciated :) And in the mean time, best of luck on your Mass Effect fic. That isn't a pairing I normally have any interest in...but fuck you might just go and make me a believer if I risk reading even one damn chapter...crap.

Amazing. Simply the best piece of Tabris fanfiction I have ever read.
| Shinkicker chapter 23 . 2/5
Oghren, wow, lol that was hilarious.
| Raven Azura Ivy chapter 48 . 1/28
Yet another addition of Bioware's ridiculous fanfiction following. And a good one at that. I have never played this game and never plan to. I think I'll settle with reading this. My one criticism (don't crucify me!) is a lack of description. I believe you assume that everyone who is reading it has played it. I have never played these games and I have no idea what Morrigan looked like. Your description of a... risque outfit was communicated well in it's lack of... being there. When I finally Googled her, I found a picture totally different from what I had imagined. You got the bare skin part across well but not really anything else besides the feathers. Heck, even my nasty little imagination was out-nastied by the realities of her outfit. I'll allow that you were probably trying to make the reader realize that the bare skin was VERY distracting. STILL. Excellent story! Loved that shit! A whole lot of plot with only a little bonus smut. Who needs it, eh? (Never hurts though)

One of the best Dragon age Fanfictions I have read. Really loved your blood curse story in it and the slightly OOC morrigan was a nice change. a little disappointed there were no werewolves in the elf bit but overall amazing.

It's hard to completely convey just how good this story is in a review like this, but I'll try. The first and biggest thing that was done is that you removed almost all of the video game aspects of the original story, there are things that happen in the game that are simply there because it is a game and it needs to be fun, despite some of them not making a whole lot of sense. While you did this throughout the story ill just use the Marjorlaine chapter, in the game you walk in to her house and for some reason there are twelve mercenaries waiting to get you, they simply there so you have something to fight. In place of this you put in a very believable Marjorlaine whose own arrogance and elitist quirks result in her downfall.
The ultimate point being that you kept the basic story, yet made it into a written work which would have been good even
If I had not played the game. You left in one of your author comments somewhere around chapter 44 or so that Morrigan seemed slightly "OOC", I disagree entirely. She, along with the rest of the characters are all introduced basically where their story begins in canon, as long as they were consistent with the characters you had written in this story, they were IC, at least as far as I'm concerned.
In any case, one of the best stories I've read on here, I've said that before on previous stories, but now I have read about a hundred more, so I really mean it, one of the best.
| DoomLich chapter 9 . 9/5/2013
I like the story Morrigan tells about her utopia in the fade, I hope there are more creepy stories about her childhood with Flemeth throughout the story. On the other hand, I was confused as to whether the old one referred to by Kallian in the fade was the Archdemon or the Sloth demon, or if they were interchanged throughout the conversation.

Finished this one up earlier. I'm not really a fan of Leliana in the game, but you captured the characters so well I could not help but like almost every single one of them (loved Zevran especially, which is saying a lot.) Very, very nice work.

Oh Maker! Alistair/Morrigan romance is so COOL!
| MelXwp chapter 48 . 6/8/2013
Wow! I loved this story! I don't know anything about Dragon age but you wrote in a way that allowed me to understand without having played the game before. I loved the differents POV and am definitivly looking forwards to the sequel. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful story with all of us!

It was an absolute pleasure to read this story. Brilliantly done.
| Gufetto chapter 11 . 5/11/2013
I found this story not that long ago and was intending to write a review once I finished completely, considering that you have already completed it, but I feel the need to write about this chapter because for some it reason it irked me to no end. Not that it is not well written or anything. Your writing style is quite pleasant to read.
But your Alistair in this chapter (I say "your" because you have written him a bit differently than he is portrayed in the game and not in an unrealistic sort of way either) stirred some anger in me in this chapter, which is good actually since characters are supposed to have flaws, but I still feel the need to rant. Sorry.
First off, in this chapter and the one before, I can not find a place where Alistair actually feels remorse for basically violating the most sacred and private place of any being, their mind, and instead seems to feel that he is the victim for having to be a secondhand witness to her suffering. Maddening.
Then, when he does confront her about her own pain, he is presumptuous enough to think that he is able to force her to heal by making her talk about her trauma, which would make anyone feel cornered and angered. And I know this is how people wish to help others and whatnot, but he still kind of deserved that headbutt. Pain is something that is healed by time and a want for healing, not by force from others who do not truly understand.
Which brings me to the point that sharpened my anger: And in the end, you have Kallian giving a one-sided apology for the moment of perhaps one of her most justified moments of anger thus far with nothing but a rather empty lecture from the other party... To me, this made your Alistair seem like an complete ass. This pardon does not seem as mutual as your Voltaire quote would imply... (shrug)
Anyway, I apologize for my tirade. I am enjoying your story and all its many interesting characterizations very much.

Wow, just wow. If I could describe this story in one word it would be: Perfect
Seriously this has everything a reader could possibly want. Action, Romance, Drama, Humor, Despair, Happiness. So many things about this story and everything fell into place perfectly. All the events from the games and your own variation on how they transpired was just perfect.
All the characters stayed in character (with the exception of Morrigan who went a little OOC). The action was well placed and fit neatly in the story. The humor was just great and provided many laughs especially Zevran, one of my favorite characters in this story.
The whole Formoire (if spelt correctly) plot provided a great deal of uncertainty and hopelessness until the very end which was a pleasant surprise. It added a new plot development that most DA stories lack as they just follow the game plot. So it was nice to have a new arc involved that was completely original.
Though the winner for me was definately the romance arc between Leliana and Kallian. Absolutely loved, you captured Lelianas character perfectly and Kallians was realistic and very well done. The moments they shared both sweet and sour were all well done and fit into the plot perfectly. It was absolutely wonderful, couldn't ask for much better description for a romance. Only thing that could have been added would have been a bit more detail in the lemony scenes but it wasn't a necessity.
Thank you for this wonderful read. It is truly a masterpiece :D

This has been an incredible story...I have been completely sucked in while reading this, to the point where I am experiencing that "great, now what?" feeling...Easily on of the best DA:O stories I have read. I am immensely looking forward to the sequel, whenever you get around to starting that. Thank you so much for sharing this wonder with us.
