| meelee729697 chapter 1 . 6/14/2013
I loved this little glimpse into these three souls before they have the slightest clue that they'll venture forever together.
Nicely done. :)

Thank you. Merry Christmas, even in July. Christmas is in our hearts.
| Eeyorefan12 chapter 1 . 12/24/2012
Christmas Eve has just begun, I'm up late wrapping gifts, and the wasteland of TV seems to be offering even less 'entertainment' than usual. As I often do at such times, I turned to my saved fanfiction stories and ran across this lovely piece again. Thank you so much for it! Only an author of your caliber (and someone who loves these characters) can create such lovely moments.

This is so beautiful. I just returned to it after saving it a few years ago. Thank you so much for this gift. Your words are exactly that.

You do so much more with less. I feel it all.
| Hespera2 chapter 1 . 2/12/2011
I know you do not expect a review for this story, but as a first-time reader of your work, I wanted to let you know that this short story touched me deeply. I think it is because you captured the essence of humanity with these vignettes. Despite our differences that make us unique, we hope for love, we long for kindred spirits to keep us company, and we all hope for a better future, a bright new tomorrow. These three characters want what people have wanted for thousands of years: children, family, companionship, love, a future. So very touching, especially considering young Edward's life and family will come to a sudden and tragic end in a few short months.

I don't know whether I've said this to you, but I find it more and more difficult to review stories by the authors I admire most. This annoys me. I think it's because I read, think "Wow!", feel intimidated (and, I have to say, rather envious of the talent) and wind up wondering, "How can I possibly comment on this?" Trying to single out parts of a story for mention is like being a primary school kid saying to Michaelangelo, "Nice clouds, mister."
Your stories often have a wistful delicacy of tone so I always want to go & hug the characters, and I certainly wanted to on this occasion. So, big hugs to the three of them and sweet dreams to tipsy Edward. Poor lad, you have so many trials ahead of you.
