An utter delight. Thanks for your remaster — 90 times one-point-something chapters is nothing to sneeze at. There are a few transposed words here and there, but don’t take that as a reason to start the editing over! It’s a great, satisfying story that kept me intrigued the whole way. You have an excellent handle on the voice, characters, and worldbuilding. The Fleet and Flotilla subplot between this and your other fics is my headcanon now.

Ouch Normandy...

Maybe some help from the Geth shipyards? Wouldn't find a more friendly and secure place to overhaul in the galaxy.

You know, in full honesty, the original ending felt... so hollow, despite the victories present, that it almost felt like the heart was ripped out. Tali and the Geth basically going on a crusade to end Cerberus' every single head, and even overcoming the Reapers with a united galaxy felt... still so painful, without everyone else present, with what everyone's been through - especially through the course of this story.

Here, and now, it was averted by a properly cinematic scene which was suitably (pardon the pun) awesome, and progressed to here, which now has me idly wondering - how much more complex and massive have each of Legion's runtimes become, just over its/their operational lifetime? More to the point, how much complexity have they gained just in the time being enmeshed in the Normandy collective?

Despite the Normandy's actual heart being destroyed at the moment, something tells me that if the Geth can make a liveship in 54 hours, they've probably been planning parts replacement for the Normandy for a while - especially just with what's happened earlier. It really wouldn't be too hard for them to have passively scanned the Normandy to get the specs, and keep the blueprints handy. You know, since information should be kept and all.

Shepard and Garrus being... well, Shepard and Garrus was hilarious, and very well done. They did it because it was funny, and because it would also help the crew feel as if life is going to go on, and things will move forward - just as always. Props there for how that was handled.

In full honesty of my bias, I like it much more when everyone doesn't die and the story continuing on through and past the Reaper War. So, looking forward to the next chapter.

Sad, but understandable what happened with the rest of the Cerberus crew on the Xenophon. While not innocent by any stretch, dying like that was regrettable. RIP.

And maybe get some atmosphere? But yeah, awesome job by Garrus to get the squad's heads in the game... or at least out of the muck. Though I think he's now doomed to watch the entire series of Fleet and Flotilla with Mystery Theatre 3000 style commentary.

Too bad they don't have some interdimensional watcher though. Garrus would totally hold it over Shepard's head that him leading the squad instead had everyone live through the fight.

Freaking Cerberus, just a front for bunch of racist idiots. Human first to the point of harm and delusion. Still I hope there is some redeeming for some of them like the woman Shep helped. We'll see.

I do look forward to how the defense plays out with them having a different strategy. And Garrus does have the outnumbered, outgunned and cornered experience from Omega... I wonder if at least on par or maybe even better than Shepard in some ways. Not a lot of instances where one can pick that up (and survive).

I like the change! Shepard stays and makes use of things others wouldn't have. After all Legion would not be affected the G-forces! And from there everything changed! Though if there is someone to trust leading a squad to save Shepard, Archangel would be it. Thank god for Garrus. I'm with him though, I hate high-stakes timed missions!

And that message Xen sent... I wonder what her contingency was? Obviously not something suicidal as continuing the current plan since she actually cares about the Quarian people and she isn't an idiot. Maybe telling the Heavy Fleet to reroute to Ma-at and try and recover her virus and attempt to upload it again?

That was a good ending. Naturally the supremacists blabber on. But also life continues.

The hand waving on how they dealt with the reapers, while sufficient, was not particularly satisfying (though that might have taken another few chapters to resolve even in summation I bet). Though I bet the racist prick was probably overstating the import of the human contribution, which while I bet was key, it probably wouldn't have happened without other things provided by their allies such as analysis by Mordin, or the economic and building power of the Citadel races/Geth.

Finally the Geth and Garrus working to tag team Tali and her depression was well done. Almost like they were back on the Normandy again. And that tribute by the Quarians to name the first city after them... really was fitting.

Shephard died heroically and wonderfully. Illusive Man died wonderfully too; shot dead like the rabid dog he is.

A little unsure about just skipping the entirety of the Reaper invasion to get here, but it'd be a long and drawn out thing to try and write and I don't blame you.

Lots of people in the comments getting their panties in a bunch, though. Like, Jesus Christ people, let people write the things they want. If someone doesn't want to write a 'golly gee willickers everything is wonderful' ending, back off.
