What a terrific story! A perfect mix of angst, perseverance, and long awaited happiness. The AU was fresh enough to make things feel truly new despite a seemingly expected start. Loads of fun dialog and humour mingling with philosophical musings and cultural analysis created a very engaging feel, reflecting Austen-like writing style without feeling unnatural in a fantasy setting. And the pacing was just right to keep me tied to the story to consume it in only two glorious days. This is a solid favourite that I will be rereading again.
