I don't think i've ever properly commented on this...which is terrible of me because oh man this is one of my favourite fanfictions of all time. I'm not exaggerating, I really really really love your writing. Every now and then i just come here to reread it, as you've come up with really nice and original setup and the piece really keeps a hold on reader through it all. The ship works so well here, how thief king is modernised into this bigtime businessman con-artist and oh man malik is absolutely perfect. Feels a little awkward gushing here but seriously I really love this and it never fails to make my day less miserable!
I know you haven't been on the site in a long time and probably don't read comments either anymore but i wanted to tell you this at long last. Thank you for not deleting your works like many other yugioh writer has had over the years. your fics have meant a lot to me in yugioh fandom over the years i've been here. So i hope you're doing well and having fun wherever you are and with whatever fandom you might be into right now. :) Thank you for publishing things here.

Oh, the fluffiness.

This might have been radically non-canon, but the characters certainly weren't out of character. Definitely going to check out your other fics ;)

That last AN just made me smile. I remember the kids taking Arabic at my school wanted to die because the language was "impossible" to learn. Leave alone the fact probably a billion people speak it. Still, it looked freakin' hard.

Hey, Marik got a quarter million dollars for speaking Arabic at a airport. Might not be the WORST idea ever. And a free ticket! . And a studly … what? Akefia would be a one-night stand or a boyfriend, lover? Whatever. Still attractive- for a cartoon. \\\;

What does "Al" mean. Considering the language/other words I could take a guess, but it really appears all the time. And I liked the Ayman comment. Ayman is another kid in our school, and we do know him in many forms. Whenever something happens we just know it's him. Crazy Sudanese-German-American-Arabian mixed boy. ._.

I wonder if Akefia gives nice massages.

Ah, thanks for not making Marik NATUALLY BLOND. White people blonde are already rather rare, I don't see why a North African could ever have those genes.

Cool story! Akefia was awesome and Malik was kind of adorable.

Oh... Oh my gosh. I-I'm. It entirely sure what to say. This story... It was wonderful. Such amazing descriptions, fantastic details... I lived it. And Akefia was damn sexy. I liked his little pet names too. You are officially my new writing god. Take me as your disciple. Teach me your ways. Seriously. (also, Malik was awesome. His role was beyond cool - I'm jealous of him.

THIS MADE MY ENTIRE DAY YESTERDAY.

Like seriously, there I was, terrified. It was black out, the place where I was was closed, it was cold, and I was alone. I was terrified I was gonna get, I dunno, kidnapped or something and my mom was taking forever to come get me

So, obviously, I use my phone to go on fanfiction and I read this.

I laughed so hard, the security guard stared. I LOVE the characterization you've given this. Akefia and Malik's personalities were amazing.

All while Akefia was trying to get through security, I was choking on my own spit. Same with when they landed and he got taken away. And when Akefia repeated the exact same thing Malik thought earlier.

Perfect.

This was great. To be really honest, it didn't really feel too much like a story about Bakura/Akefia OR Malik. But it was just so well written and entertaing that it made it really hard to care ;)

You said Akefia is strange? Well. It works brilliantly. Strange and sexy.

Your fanfics are just great!

Whoa. OK, this is way too good. Was laughing the whole way through, and then some - there are so many brilliant lines I had to revisit, just to revel in their brilliance for a second time. And to find a fic that is so acutely aware of setting, culture and mood - that's rare, and this succeeds admirably. Lovely little details like the baby crying, Marik being a law student of all things, Akefia's eccentricities, Mo the security guard - these really made the piece. A lot of fic is nothing but featureless dialogue; this cultivated a consistent, highly entertaining atmosphere the whole way through, with assiduous attention to background detail.

And the dialogue itself was so very witty! There is nothing better than a writer who can cultivate continuous banter, and you do it so elegantly!

My only criticism would be that the ending, though deeply satisfying, felt a tad hurried. I would have loved to have spent a little more time in the setting you've worked so hard to create. But then, I suppose one-shots have to end somewhere. At any rate, this was wonderful.
