| Fate Camiswhil chapter 1 . 2/24
"Personally, I would't have cared about all the fighting, the mafia, Vongola or even the world. I just wanted to be by your side." -this was a line I had Gokudera say in 'Tsuna's Black Flame', one of my fics, but in that moment it was kinda too late.
Just like you, I always felt that inclination to express the fact that Tsuna didn't want to become the Boss of Vongola. And more than anything I wanted to know if there was another way the series could've ended. You know, kinda like following his own will, not Primo's, not Vongola's, not anyone else's. Just his will, Tsuna's will. I think he deserved a chance like that more than anything.
Anyway, I just loved this. Too pure of kind intentions. Maximizing feelings of loyal friendship and understanding faith. Thank you for such a wonderful read. :D

wow , very strong
| BeyondMyReach chapter 1 . 10/7/2013
So beautiful and wonderful. I find it interesting how you mentioned Giotto in this and yeah, Tsuna is a lot like Giotto alright, as is Gokudera and G, and Yamamoto and Ugetsu. Gokudera is wonderfully characterized in this piece, as is Yamamoto. The trio always fascinate me, with their dymanic and all, especially when they act differently around each other, however subtly (Yamamoto) or obviously (Gokudera). Thanks for sharing this piece.

I'm almost crying, almost. thumbs up for the good work!
| WritingClockwork chapter 1 . 10/7/2012
Wow, this was a really deep story, I loved how in character everyone was. And also Yamamoto leave it to him to make things more dramatic lol. But I do wonder...would reborn really stop him from being vongola boss, especially with the recent manga chapters, tsuna and reborn both seem to have grown out of teacher/student to maybe father/son and even though he is always pushing him towards being a mafia boss he always let's him have the option, like in the inheritance ceremony, it only happened because his friends were in danger. And like many fics out there I believe that reborn and the ninth both know that tsuna isn't really going to be a mafia boss because he will change things to the way they were, back in Primo's time...
Well anyways this was an awesome story! XP
| midnight.wolf62 chapter 1 . 11/6/2011
Hm. So everything boils down to needing to talk about it.
I really liked this story. And hypnotics, man, that really surprised me. It's nice that you managed some humor into this otherwise deep piece, too. Yamamoto's presence tends to do that, I suppose.
| Chocolate and caramel chapter 1 . 10/12/2011
I like this throry. you should continue this.
| Sweetcake rainbow chapter 1 . 8/26/2011
I have to state, really, that both the character's dynamics and the story's pace are wonderfully executed. It was a delight for me to read this story, and a terribly welcome change from the original story, which severely lacks depth with things like these (it's mind-boggling how the characters can be so interesting even while the story itself is so...2-dimensional, though I should expect this from a story that started off as gag and complete nonsense). This thought-provoking story which is so full of insight actually sparked my muses (though I guess it still remains to be seen whether something will come out of this sudden bout of inspiration :)) ) Thank you, in an case, for the beautiful story :D
| Garowyn chapter 1 . 7/7/2011
Very well-written, and it's an idea I haven't seen too often, one not explored nearly enough (especially as a gen fic).
| TsumetaiYuuki chapter 1 . 6/19/2011
The dynamics are very well done.
Thank you for this story.
| puregarnet chapter 1 . 5/27/2011
It is a really nice story.
| Jaricchi chapter 1 . 3/20/2011

| Aunty Soshul chapter 1 . 1/30/2011
I don't think Gokudera would ever force Tsuna into anything if he could help it, unless he thought it was for his own good. Loved this fic and you did a very good job with the characterization. Sometimes I read a story where Gokudera doesn't act like how Gokudera IS and it irks me a little when there are no warnings to pass it off. :D
| OrangeHeart chapter 1 . 1/16/2011
You know, sometimes, i take the gokudera-et-al.-not-paying-attention-on-tsuna's-frustration-on-being-a-boss thing as crack. Or something that shouldn't be taken too seriously because it's part of amano's artistic license to make things more funny or to make things consistent from the start. You know the humor it creates when tsuna consistently denies being a boss and how reborn will whack him everytime he complains. Because, if we're going to base it on real life, there bounds to be something wrong with their friendship, and assuming so will be wrong too since, considering their devotion towards each other, especially gokudera's to tsuna, it can't be any relationship other than friendship or even stronger.
But, the thing is, sometimes i get tired of seeing humor on it... It gets tiring as it lasts, and it leads me to thinking its really a serious matter that gokudera should take notice. Just for the sake of getting them closer, and for clearing all the doubts i have for their friendship. And it's really sad. I know amano is probably taking it for granted supposed she really planned tsuna's fate of being a mafia boss as inevitable, and so it's ok when no one listens to tsuna. But, it wouldn't hurt anyone if, for once, gokudera shows that he cared, that he is aware of this side of tsuna that doesn't want to get involved in mafia. The latest manga chapters is a development, it really shows how gokudera isn't completely oblivious of tsuna's "no-good" side, but rather, he's just accepted all of it but that's not enough, since he's still seeing/refering tsuna as "the vongola tenth". :(
But then, that's why fic like this exists. And i really enjoy when i read this kind. You're one of the few who did it brilliantly. Your interpretation is not far from reality. Though, i would really like to think that gokudera knows it all the time, he is aware, he just ignore it out of his frustration that without vongola, he can't fulfill his own dreams and he knows for a fact that being the vongola tenth is the best future for tsuna. Perhaps it's his own dreams too, to become a mafia boss, since it's his unfulfilled dream, he might be thinking of giving it to the one closest to his heart or to the one whom he thinks is most deserving, that is, tsuna. He might be blinded on what he thinks is the best for tsuna, and therefore, ignoring the latter's protest unconciously and putting it only as a sign of humility. Let's assume that he really loves tsuna, then all his actions will be plausible, as if he is caring like a father to tsuna - giving him what 'he thinks' is best. Haha, that's just my head canon, and how i wish it was true.
I think, all the manga needs is a recognition from gokudera's side. Just a glimpse what he is thinking, a conversation with tsuna telling that he(goku) understands. Even though his own plans and reasons will most likely be unfavorable to tsuna, I know it will, nonetheless, put some doubts tsuna might be feeling to rest. It will prove that gokudera really cared, since from the start, in one way or the other even though different from what we are wanting it to be. That it didn't took him that long to figure it all out. He understands it, all this time. He just made all things less harsh for tsuna, he made sure tsuna will survive.
What the hell with that? This review isn't a review at all. I'm sorry. Anyways, i really like your story, it made me contemplate so deep more than i could imagine myself ever doing so. For that, thank you.
PS. Hope you have made sense out of what i've written. This, darling, is the reason i will stay not writing any fic. My thoughts are scattered all over the place, i think i can't make a logically arranged composition. Even there are things i'm feeling i can't translate into words. :(
| Reidluver chapter 1 . 1/16/2011
Wow-very well done! I must say I really enjoyed it! :) And I agree. Despite how much I love the series, it is a rather sad situation that Tsuna is in. Being forced to do something he doesn't want to do. Yeah everyone else are his friends, but their inability to realize this is a little sad. But I like this and really like how you brought up the whole thing with the Primo generation. Tsuna and his friends are quite the same, so I think it makes a good deal of sense that they would leave the same way. Maybe what could end the series is that Tsuna accomplishes what he needs to and makes the Vongola a proud vigilante group, and then he leaves the position with his Guardians. I agree with you that they would still follow him because their bonds go deeper than boss and subordinate. :)
