I haven't told you lately because I'm a lazy reviewer, but I love this fic and have followed it since its kink meme-days.

Not only do I like your take on the characters - young Sephiroth and older Cloud especially - but I admire the pacing more. You spin a tight story with just enough details that the reader wants to know what happened in the scenes we didn't see, but you always keep the suspense happening. Am very envious of that ability.

What I'm currently curious about other than the main plot and more Cloud/Sephiroth: Reeve's missions for Sephiroth and the way the people respond to him now - more of that and Genesis and Angeal, please :) (Although you had me laughing out loud when Sephiroth just decided to drop off the cure, no explanation needed XD)

Brilliant chapter!

Vincent, so easy to manipulate, especially by his old partner when he has crucial information. Love Vincent apologizing for not being able to stop Hojo and Sephiroth being so surprised that someone actually tried.

What is best is Sephiroth making the logical decision to tell Veld that he may go insane in the future and have to be put down since it seems the assassins are all his friends.

The crazy Seph showing up, having the epic fight through Nibelheim with Cloud, stabbing young!Seph and then jumping into the mako - all awesome!

I am so so happy that you updated! We've finally heard the whole truth and all the characters have been introduced. The story is picking up and I'm super excited! I really hope that Valentine is planning on making up for not being there before by protecting Sephiroth this time around. It's also exciting that we have an antagonist introduced. And is it weird that Sepiroth finally getting Masamune makes me really happy? I really enjoyed this chapter and I'm looking forward to where you take this story.

This is awesome! And my god, is Cloud actually going to talk? Looking forward to the next chapter!

So so so so so happy at this newest chapter. I love your characterizations and everything that happens in this story makes sense and goes so smoothly. I root for Sephiroth so intensely in this story and I truly believe his reactions. Thank you for the update and sharing your creative genius with us.

"I can get my own answers... Nibelheim." Ha! Now I'm picturing Cloud high tailing it to Nibleheim like his tail feathers are on fire. Not sure if Sephiroth meant to induce panic, but I'm amused at picturing the result. Hard to imagine a calm and composed reaction...

It looks like Cloud has a big explanation to do - when Seph comes back from this mission and let Cloud speak... great chapter

I'm just gonna pop in really quick to mention that this story still makes me squeak with glee a lot. I loved the bit with Cloud last chapter (headcanon is that Cloud has...issues, letting Seph top, so seeing someone else agree made me squee) and I love Vincent and urg, the angst.
