Really, Bakura? You're not doing it for Malik? You must be pretty stupid, then, because there's no other logical reason to do it...or maybe you're just saying that because you don't want to admit it to Malik XD.

This was pretty cute, and well-written.

Aww! That ending made me really sad, which caught me by surprise. The transition between angry-Malik and sad-Malik is really abrupt, but you make it work really well.

Your timing and premise is believable and even though you're up-front about exactly how soon things happened, you managed to pull it together, which is something a lot of people fail hard at. Congratulations and great work on this fic. Loved it.

Guh, this was gorgeous. I think what I liked best about it was the description - so very vivid and sharp. You have a lovely knack of mingling physical actions with characterisation; each motion means something quite distinct.

And what characterisation it was! Your Bakura is deadly, impassive and decidedly aloof - except when he's not, because there is so much depth to him in this short piece. I love how Marik is the one person who gets to him, maddens him - perplexes him, even. I love how your Marik is impish and impulsive enough to try.

Oh that was so wonderful. You just so completely get their relationship, how they're not lovey dovey types, that rougher more feral aspect to their relationship that most people seem to miss. Because they aren't nice people, especially not Malik, and you show that particularly well with the second kiss, how HE is the one to initiate it.

"...even his kiss feels dangerous, like sucking on a razor blade and hoping not to get cut."

And mmm, Malik at the end is adorable, he needs a hug. I like how you kind of show how Malik has changed without making it obvious and hitting us over the head with it. It's very sedate, calm like. I loved this one line that I think just summarizes what I mean. "Malik just stares at him with melancholy eyes, suddenly looking years younger, betraying his real age..." Mm, it just pulls at the heartstrings.

Your ending line is both beautiful and haunting, especially considering how we know what follows.

Wonderful story. For ten hours, they sure move fast. Then again, they do know what they want. :)

This is a lovely, bittersweet little story. You've fit it in perfectly with the canon, and kept them very well in-character too; so that it actually seems plausible. Plus, the ending was just perfect. And so, so sad, because we all know what happens...gah. Lovely story here! Great job.

You NAIL their dynamic. It's so wonderful. They're not romantic people, they're ambitious and attracted to power and gaaah I love this pairing and this fic summarizes exactly why. I can't even really put it into words. It's just PERFECT.

And I "b'awww"d when Bakura told Malik to stop looking so sad. And all the kisses were just wonderfully described and..and..you rule. D

And yeah, it always bothered the thiefshipper in me that their entire interaction was only a day long. (But that's what alternate endings/figuring out where Bakura was in Season 4 comes in).
