| Guest chapter 1 . 4/15/2013 You should warn about deafness in the summary. Like slash, missing limbs, handicaps and extreme violence some people finds missing senses extremely off-putting. I'm one of them, and I always get angry when someone wastes my time AND makes me feel bad afterwards. This is a prime example - "That poor boy is deaf" not only put me in a bad mood, but the time I wasted beforehand makes it very rude. It's like two straight male characters suddenly jumping each other. It's sickening (no offense to anyone, everyone's equal and all that good jazz) It's just awful. Like writing out child pornography for the unsuspecting reader, I think that would offend everyone - Except Harry Potter fans who has been desynthesized by now with Harry sleeping with everything between centaurs to teachers, buckbeak to Dumbledore... In short, it's sick, wrong and should be warned about. |

I love this Hikaru, he has all the characteristics of the original and some extra attitude due to his disability. His rivalry with Akira seems to be better than from the manga because of his family problem and his disability. Your portraying of how they met the first time, to their reunion 4 years later is so good! I can't believe Hikaru took 1st board from Ko Yeong Ha :D I really wish you could expand on this story or make some kind of sequel, i'm really curious about Hikaru's back story (how he ended up in Korea and what happened those 4 years). Thank you for writing such a fascinating story and sharing it with us. I'm definitely your fan now |
| Kittona chapter 3 . 11/14/2012 this was AWESOME! one of the best fics i've read in a while and one of the best hikaru no go ones i've read over all! I really like how you portrayed Akira and Hikaru's friendship and interactions. I'm super curious as to what goes on in Hikaru's head, how he got interested in go and what happened in the four years that he was gone... I really enjoyed this, and it's always nice to read a completed fic (it would be most awesome if there was more to this AU, but it is epic as is as well :) |
