I know the show is a comedy but the betrayal was brushed aside. The guys really didn't think they did anything wrong. WhY a travesty. Thanks so much

Wow what a story!
| AmazingGrace288 chapter 5 . 8/4/2013
You know, what gets to me about the north pole incident is that Leonard, Howard and Raj had known Sheldon and had been familiar with his quirks and idiosyncrasies before they accepted to accompany him on the expedition, so I never understood why they got so angry with him during the expedition. I do laugh at many jokes the show makes at the expense of Sheldon since he can be overbearing at times, but there are some instances that I think the show takes it a bit too far and makes things a bit unfair to Sheldon and the north pole incident is one of them. That episode never sat well with me.
Thanks for giving us Sheldon's POV in all this. It was sad and heartbreaking to read but necessary..
| S. M chapter 5 . 8/2/2013
This was a very well written story with a sad and heartbreaking (but sort of perfect) ending. You did an amazing job getting into Sheldon's head. He sounded very IC in most of the story. Great job.
| LadyTaiyo chapter 5 . 9/19/2012
I like how determined he sounds by the end of the chapter and how his voice becomes slightly more adult by the end of the fic...It's very interesting to see him change as a result of his experiences...I must complain once more that I don't think he would come to hold Penny in higher esteem than a Nobel that easily but I did like how you depicted him as having far more going on "below the surface" than the episode necessarily showed us...The story it's self was fantastic and with just a little work the romance aspect could become extremely plausible not just in the context of this piece but in the context of the cannon it's self...
| LadyTaiyo chapter 4 . 9/19/2012
Sheldon's excitement was very well done and I think the audience does gain a sense of his emotional immaturity from the way his imagination runs away with him...he really does sound like an excited child...Again though, I must point out that I don't think he would reduce his career aspirations to a way to impress Penny...He values his work too much for that...
| LadyTaiyo chapter 3 . 9/19/2012
This is a well thought out take on how Sheldon might view some of the more ambiguous moments between himself and Penny...I feel like the the analytical way he approaches his own emotions is very in character for him...My only complaint is how quickly he goes from "I miss Penny" to "Possible relationship with Penny", it seems like he accepted it too easily...
| LadyTaiyo chapter 2 . 9/19/2012
Another chapter that captures Sheldon's character flawlessly...I adored seeing the juxtaposition between his intelligence and his total innocence regarding interacting with people and how they perceive and respond to him...I also enjoyed the level of detail in this chapter with all of the references to various episodes...
| LadyTaiyo chapter 1 . 9/19/2012
This is wonderful...I love to see fics that focus on Sheldon's intellect and how it pertains to his identity instead of just making him silly and odd... and the way you show how much information he is able to take in and how he synthesizes it was fascinating...excellent job...
| Guest chapter 5 . 8/9/2012
As a fellow man of science like Sheldon, regardless of how fictional he is, I too would be devastated. Any man of science would be devastated. When you go into science, there are two ways of going at it, the way that normal people go into it with other commitments such as families and marriage, or the way Sheldon goes into it. By committing fully to the research and having little to no life whatsoever, but it gets things done. I was very angry when I saw this episode of BBT, I was so frustrated, I actually shed a tear, because being a man of science, I understood Sheldon's "pain" in his "failure."

This was heart breaking. Poor Sheldon. I would have hung those assholes out the window by their testicles for what they did to him.
| Halfred Askold chapter 5 . 4/9/2012
This chapter was the best of the lot. This chapter could be the first in a series as how you explained it at the end makes so perfect sense for a story of Sheldon and Penny. Where The Nobel IS a spring board for the real prize: Penny.

There are no words to describe how much I love this! That ending was so heartbreakingly beautiful! LOVED IT!
| crazy-chick-mia chapter 5 . 3/31/2012
Oh poor Sheldon, that is so so sad :( Wonderful writing.
| Lightningbolt81 chapter 5 . 10/27/2011
Are you going to make a sequel? This episode was the most awful episode ever, it's one reason I never really like penny and Leonard together because he betrayed his best friend/ roommate like that and had no compasion all he wanted was to get with penny and get in her pants and didn't feel the least sorry all Leonard was whinning about how he could can't a break, he's lucky Sheldon didn't break every bone but I would've, but at least Howard and raj looked remorseful
