I like how most of Moriarty's ways of gaining power as a child are normal bullying, with that one outlier of threatening to kill a pet hamster, casually listed among the others like it's of the same magnitude.
Also, it's a interesting idea that he killed Karl to get revenge on other people. It's much more intricate and messed up.
I like how you portray Moriarty as almost hoarding his revenge, savoring it, trying to make it the most elegant it can be - a production, a play. In the end, that desire for the perfect revenge destroys him.
