Read it and loved it. this is a good story, shame that you haven't continued it. I liked how you wrote the characters- with how you wrote her I couldn't respect hinata much as I found her to be borderline obsessed with Naruto so well done.

No offense but why would you set up this idea of a team with shino and shika and the immediately change it? Feels kind of pointless.

Anko is defenitely a self insert. Because her character makes no sense, is really ooc and annoyingly involved in stuff that should not concern her and would following canonical events be keot secret from her.
I'm guessing she'll be involved in anything and everything from now on.
SO PLEASE tag this kind of shit. Self insert stories are the absolute worst that fanfiction has to offer.

Oh my lil baby sunshine knows his mom's name now! Yay! This was a good read. The perspective chances were a bit abrupt but easy enough to follow. And I find it hilarious that all of them are learning WAY more this way than they do in canon by being separated and taught the "normal" way. And most of them are like...legit friends with each other now. Big improvement. Hinata might need some help with her...obsession?...Tunnel vision? And I'd like for Danzo to just die or be found with his stolen blood line limits so he can be executed.

This is like the most interesting thing I've ever seen done with the genin teams. And Naruto is making friends! ACTUAL FRIENDS who give a shit! I love this. I love you. I hope you finish it some day.

Wooooooooooooowwwwwwww I sincerely hope that Naruto is over his crush on that idiot Sakura. And Sasuke...Pffft the less his existence is acknowledged the better, the retarded wannabe that he is. Where the fuck is the logic of expecting the acknowledged dead last of the class to be able to single handedly stop a higher ranked experienced ninja before he kills someone also of higher rank ESPECIALLY when you don't even know what happened. It's like they're putting him down while placing high expectations on him and putting him down further even when he proves himself capable...the contradictory bastards. I don't like them. But I am loving this new team idea!

It was only ten chapters and remains incomplete, but I wanted to tell you how good this story was. You utilized the qualities mentioned but not always depicted in canon and built on them. Shikamaru is brilliant, Shino is quiet but observant and quite strong. That, along with the unpleasant bond the three share, created a core friendship that rooted the plot well.
In spite of its darker aspects you kept a good deal of the core humor and style that shape Naruto. Ino and Sakura's pursuit of Sasuke, the genins' reaction to their separate teachers (and then to Gai, the sub from Hell), and especially Hinata's stalkerish decision that breaking into Naruto's home rather than risk ruining his sleep was the CONSIDERATE thing to do all felt right.
You had a strong plot developing, with the adults worrying about Orochimaru while the current greater threat was right there among the village leadership. The genin were building strength and trust and might have created enough faith among themselves that Sasuke wouldn't have remained obsessed and self absorbed enough to run off to join the enemy. You slipped in a surprising and surprisingly touching romance between Kakashi and Anko, too.

I hope every knows that the reason this fic isn’t being updated anymore is because the author has passed onto the next world

First chapter and I’m surprised how long it is. People usually have a lot of short chapters, this is really good. Also I just had to say... IRUKA-SENSEI! NOOOOOO! And stupid Kakashi. Can’t wait to keep reading, I’ll review in a few chapters. Really well done so far :D

Ahhh, this was a fun story to stumble upon, though it's sad to see it's been dead for so long.

I think this is actually the first fic I've seen where Iruka dies against Mizuki. That's... an honestly rather interesting impetus for everything else. Bravo on that.
