I don't tend to read drabbles and initially, I was a little skeptical about this, to be completely honest... but this, oh my, this is simply GORGEOUS.

Wonderful, as usual.

It's what that is left unsaid that makes your writing so powerful. How instead of that famous little three words ("Does it really need saying?") he tells Amy that he'd rather have her than the TARDIS. That is brillinat, that is.

There are two lines that huant me:" The pair of them, they can't seem to keep away from the edges of things"

That is so TheDoctorandAmyPond.

And the last line:

"She wonders if anyone has ever lived here, and then she turns around and follows the Doctor back into the darkness."

There is something sad and beautiful about that makes it hang in my mind.

I read this earlier this morning, but I didn't have time to review, because I was already late for class. Even now, I'm meant to be studying, but I just to stop to tell you how absolutely breath taking this fic is. It's so short and simple in a way, but it flows so well and it fits them so well. You have both of them pinned so perfectly that I'm in awe. The moment when she expected a kiss, but only got her normal peck on the forehead was especially touching. You could have changed that moment so easily, but I'm glad you didn't. Anything else wouldn't have been so Eleven. I think this might be my favorite Doctor Who fic yet. I know that whenever I'm searching for fics to help me with my characterization, this is definitely one I will be turning to. Absolutely beautiful.

The only tiny thing that bothered me was I could have used a slight bit more context at the start (I didn't really know where you were starting), but it wasn't too big of a deal. I figured it out soon enough.

Oh my, that was beautiful. I love how it could technically fit anywhere in to canon, because there definetely was a definite point where it could have been in Series 5/Fnarg, but also there's still a couple of us hoping for Rory to face Death By River, the Doctor to reject River, and find himself finding solace with a certain Ms Pond...and not wanting to, because DUH it's all kinds of wrong and twisted...but goddamit it feels so right and on and on and on goes the plot arc...

ALso intruiged by this... "She wonders if anyone has ever lived here, and then she turns around and follows the Doctor back into the darkness." Especially this last line. Are you planning on developing this at all? Because while I love love love all your amazingly happy 11/Amy stories I'd also love to see you write something where, I dunno, it doesn't work. Maybe Amy gets to see a really dark, destructive side to the Doctor... the kind of man who once ended the Time War, who watched the Racnoss scream, who was the Time Lord Victorious... Maybe Amy gets too close, and gets burnt. So yeah. Challenge! The Doctor Destructive Pile of Angst, Amy Hurt. Go!
