GalaxieGurl chapter 1 . 4/3/2022 I never had time to watch Hawaii-5-0 before this year, being in grad school, working, and raising 4 kids in the past, but I discovered the reboot during the pandemic, it got me through staying home, and now I'm hooked. You've captured these friends' quiet, strong"closer than we wanna admit" bond perfectly. |
Guest chapter 1 . 7/26/2021 Nice interaction between the guys. In character and not overly emotional, but still sincere. |
Luisandra chapter 1 . 7/31/2018 This is beautiful. You convey so well the deep friendship/brotherhood between them. Thank you for sharing it. |
leahk80 chapter 1 . 7/1/2018 Nicely done! |
Guest chapter 1 . 5/27/2018 This was wonderful and one of the best stories involving this episode I have read. |
hjohn302 chapter 1 . 1/18/2017 I don't know if I have ever commented on this, but there is something so powerful in this story. I just love the friendship between the two of them and how Steve is so worried about Danny and needs to find him. At the same time you give a hint to how much Steve needs Danny to... that line about not being alone in his house. Thank you so much for this story. Great job! |
Guest chapter 1 . 10/5/2015 I know this is late but I Just found it. Excellent work! You capture their relationship perfectly! |
Long Live BRUCAS chapter 1 . 2/23/2015 Steve is a great and caring friend towards Danny. Its good that they know each other so well. |
UnpredictablyRandomOne chapter 1 . 4/20/2014 This was so sweet! I love the relationship between Steve and Danny and this story is one of the many reasons as to why. Great job! |
calliopechild chapter 1 . 3/26/2013 This fic could be summed up with one phrase: all the bromance! :D Nice job on this, it was super cute; Steve being caring in his very own Steve way-the line about beer as the universal Man Band-Aid made me lol-was great, and I like your take on how a quiet Danny makes Steve nervous. Very cute, and thanks for an awesome bros being great bros story. :) |
Seren-TheStar chapter 1 . 5/22/2011 AWESOME! This is honestly the best post "Loa Aloha" fic I have read so far. I loved how you portrayed their friendship and how they care for each other without getting all sappy. I lack the words to describe it but everything just fit and the boys were perfectly in character. I have so many favourite lines in this fic it would be ridiculous to quote them all so I just picked three: "He found the more beers he downed, the easier he could say Matt's name without his heart sinking into his shoes. And Steve seemed to be constantly seeking some sort of physical contact: bumping fists, touching his arm, his shoulder. As though he's afraid Danny might disappear." That was just so incredibly sweet:D loved it! "And that makes Danny smirk, because Steve really is the world's biggest, scariest boy scout. Saving the world without a shirt, one explosion at a time." That is so true! It made me smirk as well;) "Steve's hand finds his immediately, and there is a brief squeeze. It's not quite a handshake, but it's more macho than actually holding hands. But for some reason, Danny needed to convey something through touch, and that's all he could think of." Touch is one of the strongest ways to convey something:) and it is a shame that it is often only associated with romantical feelings. It is actually four quotes I almost forgot about "Steve "Bad Ass is my Middle Name" McGarrett" :D so cool! Thank you so much for writing this amazing story! I enjoyed reading it an awful lot! |
soytejana chapter 1 . 4/29/2011 Sooo lovely! |
vampyfreak chapter 1 . 4/28/2011 Awesome fic! |
Effie17 chapter 1 . 4/19/2011 Loved it! |
cate's corner chapter 1 . 4/3/2011 I have to admit I haven't seen this episode yet, but I'd still like to leave a review to let you know how much I enjoyed this story. You've captured the friendship between Steve and Danny so well. They'd go to hell and back for each other, and you've caught every part of that here. You had me laughing one minute and reaching for tissues the next, but thank you for a wonderful read. Cate |
