Reviews for Eternal Changes
innominateuser chapter 34 . 12/5/2019
He's safe. Thank you. Reid is safe.

Highlighting moments in this chapter:

Morgan being Morgan. The Morgan I see in the show. Protective and fulfilling his role in protecting Reid.

Reid hugging Morgan and Morgan calling Reid 'Kid.'

Hudson taking off his jacket and placing it on Reid to keep him warm. Reid being surprised by Hudson's action.

Morgan making sure to take full responsibility - even for Hudson for the actions.

Hudson being assuring to Reid and comforting him in his state of fear.

Reid holding Morgan's hand.

This is a treasure gem!

I almost forgot that they do need to find the UnSub again. But Reid needs to be taken care of too.

Great chapter!
innominateuser chapter 33 . 12/5/2019
Hotch is in the know now. Although, he can't do anything, I know he wants to be with the team and with Reid. Morgan and Hudson need to hurry and find Reid! At least they found a clue though! They will not get away from Gideon unscathed. I knew the moment you mentioned the mallet that it was from Misery. I hate that scene. I-hate-the-scene. I-hate-the-scene. I-hate-that-scene! Oh! Please! Morgan and Hudson - hurry!
innominateuser chapter 32 . 12/5/2019
Dang it... Dang it! Dang it! Dang it!

The UnSub got Reid. OMG. Reid made sure to fight back the best he could. Dang. It's a shame he didn't get off one round - whether at the UnSub or to get his teammates attention.

Reid should have gotten into the vehicle! Why! Dang it!

Feels like I am rushing through my review - but that is because I am hyped now. I want to see what happens next.

It's up to Morgan and Hudson to find Reid and catch the UnSub. No they shouldn't have left him because they would have at least been together if they crossed paths with the UnSub together, or kept the UnSub from approaching in the first place.

Okay. I am jumping in my seat and I am pounding on the keys. I'm ready to jump into the next chapter!
innominateuser chapter 31 . 12/5/2019
Um. You're going to have to call for Emergency personnel because I think my heart just stopped beating and it's struggling to beat again!

AW! MY HEART! I CAN'T TAKE IT! GAH!

You don't know what you just did to me. My heart.

Okay. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Being serious now lol.

Gideon is so precious. Hudson. He's being precious. Thank you! Thank you! (It's okay Hudson. It's okay. No need to look at Reid as an enemy. But a teammate. Maybe a friend. Come on. You can do it.)

It's good to hear from Hotch and that things seem to be going well on his end.

The part where the UnSub was calculating his plans of what to do next and after seeing the broadcast, you proved just how dang skilled you are at writing crime. Not just the team dynamics, law procedures, and crime aspects, but the criminals too. You're too genius! I can't handle anymore. (I'm gonna go cry in a corner after this review.)

Maybe Reid is on to something? Hm. Right minds? Not in their right minds? I don't think it matters. (If you can't tell, I'm raising my eyebrows here.)

Okay, I'm done being silly. I enjoyed reading this chapter nonetheless.
innominateuser chapter 30 . 12/5/2019
I don't like using the word "game-changer" but this chapter was a game-changer. lol.

Wow. Thank you Morgan! Thank you Nichols! And yes. I have to say thank you to even Hudson because something finally clicked with him. He may not fully understand yet, but there's that shift I felt coming. That's what I was looking for.

That was rude as hell for Hudson to have done that and what Morgan said was right. I know Hudson is not totally a bad person. There's a saying that the company you keep is how you are as a person. Given that Hudson is working with a good ace team, there's no way he could have been with them if Gideon didn't see something worthy of Hudson. To have him on his team.

I knew it. Knowing that Hudson was once a bully does help me to understand that - that part of him has surfaced before and has surfaced again. Unknowingly - it looks both times. Sometimes, it is hard to change your ways no matter how hard you try. As long as one is willing to try - then that is what matters. That seemed to be the case with Hudson. He's contemplating on it now. I am so looking forward to seeing where his contemplation takes him.

I love Nichols insight on what Reid is feeling but expressing his own experiences similar to Reid's. I feel for Nichols as well, and I can understand what he means by finding people at the right time. Those who help you become the person you are today. Reid is searching for that and he hopes to find it with them.

(Come on Hudson. Give Reid a chance! Please!)

(I love the chapter. I love that Hudson spoke to Nichols about it. I can relate to Nichols as well in trying to avoid inner-group conflict and confrontation. Sometimes, it can't be helped. Can't be avoided.)

Any who. Forwarding to the next chapter!
innominateuser chapter 29 . 12/5/2019
I forgot to mention in my previous review how Reid would handle being at another crime scene to see the body. I know Gideon was reluctant, but he didn't see any other option. I love that Morgan even questioned Gideon about it since he's been aware of keeping Reid from crime scenes, but even he had to accept that Reid is their only chance of seeing things they may miss.

Reid managed to bear through it. Able to get in some input and thoughts - though, it still sickened him. I'm glad that after they had turned in for the rest of the night, Gideon went and spoke to Reid instead of letting things fester.

The interaction at the diner is absolute gold! I love it. Haha. Morgan and Nichols are right. It's good for Reid to finally get something over Hudson - even though it wasn't his intention. Even better that Hudson came back and just having a normal conversation with them.
innominateuser chapter 28 . 12/5/2019
Haha. The plot thickens in more ways than one.

I knew from the moment you mentioned the setup with murders in the gymnasium that it related to Carrie. I did not anticipate that you had incorporated other Stephen King stories into this case, which is genius by the way. I can't say I am familiar with King's other works compared to Carrie, but I do have an idea of what each of them were about. The UnSub is definitely unstable. Smart. Patient. Which brings its own genre of dangerous.

Aw. Morgan. (It's okay Reid, he didn't mean it the way you think.)

(I may be seeing things, but there's a slight shift in Hudson. Not entire sure how to describe it. I'll see if I am right later on.)

At first, I thought Hudson was gonna get upset that Gideon decided to take Reid and Morgan to the newest crime scene and not him, but as you said, the team is tired in general since pieces of the puzzle are taking long to put together. But he didn't. (Unless Hudson will express that in the next chapter. I don't know.)

Wonder what the UnSub has in mind now and how soon the team will be able to catch him.
innominateuser chapter 27 . 12/5/2019
Evil doesn't rest and no rest for good men.

What a big and crazy case the team has to work on now. The need to find the UnSub. And fast.

Let's see how well Reid will do without Hotch being there. (Though, I have confidence in him.)

Very glad to know that Hudson and his father were able to do away with the tension between them. Unfortunately, his father is not doing well in terms of his health. (Sounds really tough, but hopefully Hudson and his family can remain strong through his father's condition.)

I didn't mention before, but I really like how despite how difficult Hudson is being towards Reid, Morgan still remains friends with Hudson. He doesn't choose sides (at least I don't remember it happening when I first read this. I may be wrong. But if I am not, then yeah.) As I said, I appreciate how Morgan is sharing his concern for Hudson. (If I am wrong, and it does happen later - then I'll see how things will carry on from that point. But I will see.)

Forgive me for rambling there, lol. Moving on to the next chapter!
innominateuser chapter 26 . 12/5/2019
Reid's day didn't start off well. (I love that he whipped out his badge to the guys who were bothering him.) (It makes me curious as to what they were saying to him.) (But in either case - take that! You don't want to mess with a man with a badge.)

Morgan is being so nice to Reid! (It is like the highlight for me now, lol.)

This is such a really good chapter! I mean - it brings me back to saying that even though this story is about Reid, you didn't make it Reid-centric - which is totally fine with me because I love all the CM characters (and your characters of course) and you do such a wonderful job in incorporating all the characters' sides in this story and giving readers reason to love them all - despite their flaws.

The bit where we learn about Hudson's past and his relationship with his parents was a very interesting insight! Also, the part where Reid is coming to an idea of what it means to belong to family - because that is exactly what the BAU team is. A family.

Everyone has the chance to have a good time and spend it with their loved ones...

The chapter overall was such a feel-good chapter! Wonderful, wonderful chapter!
innominateuser chapter 25 . 12/5/2019
I wonder where the heck do you get your inspiration from when you write these letters. They're so darn sweet! Gosh! And coming from Spencer no less! How?!

Anyways - congrats to Spencer for making 60 days! Take that Hudson and everyone else who didn't believe he'd last that long! Hotch's evaluation of Reid was so Hotch-like but nothing less than the truth. It shows Reid is a capable agent and it showed that Reid really didn't want to quit deep inside. Good of him for trying to not let Hudson get him down while he could. Keep working at it Spence.

I had to laugh at how much Reid hates snow. Morgan is right; he should be glad he is not in Chicago. (Just take my word for it. lol.)

It makes me so happy to see that Reid is recognizing Morgan's genuineness, even though he doesn't see him as a friend, and that Morgan continues to reach out to Reid throughout this whole time!

I really like how you covered the different personalities between Nichols and Gideon. Nichols is open and expressive whereas Gideon is closed off and mysterious.

Speaking of Nichols, I love how he bantered against Reid here and that Morgan didn't really put up a fight. He knew better. Interesting to see who got who in the end. Now I wonder how this will turn out.
innominateuser chapter 24 . 12/4/2019
Well. Lol. Things took a certain turn. Backwards. Certainly backwards. Lol.

I understand Reid so much about being sensitive and easily being hurt, and yet I feel sorry for Morgan because he's really not trying to go out of his way to hurt Reid. It's hard though when Reid can't help but protect himself because that is what he is used to.

Despite that Morgan is trying close the distance between Reid and him, Morgan finds that it'll not be easy. He even learns something about Reid that I'm sure neither Hotch or Gideon knows of. The fact that Morgan is still willing to try to earn Reid's trust... Heck. To be a friend! I have no words to describe it other than that I love it. Absolutely. Dang Hudson and anyone else who continue to be difficult when it comes to Reid. But I love that Morgan confronted them and put an end to their betting.

Also, I love like the Easter eggs laid out in this chapter. Not to say that there aren't any in the other chapters, but to me they really strike me in this one. The Reid Effect, Reid loving Halloween, the origin of Penelope Garcia (and the way how you tie her in with Nichols.) (By the way, I love the whole hacker code aspect.), and more. Lastly, love how you included Nichols felt that he belonged with the BAU because Gideon and the rest of them saw him more than a criminal, but as an actual person.
innominateuser chapter 23 . 12/4/2019
There are so many things for Reid to contemplate. He's stuck in the middle of feeling he needs to resign and save himself and mainly others the trouble he believes he put others through, but at the same time, he can't picture himself doing anything else. Morgan is more than what Reid thought him to be, despite that Morgan wasn't all too friendly with Reid to begin with, so it's understandable how Reid can jump to those conclusions, but with their recent interactions, Reid is uncertain of what to really think of his fellow co-worker.

What Hudson said about being there at work before Morgan makes me question whether it is true or not. I guess I can only wonder. Nichols is closing in this hacker while also enlightening us on his hacker days. I love how humorous Nichols is in regards to his joining the FBI.

While Reid is pulled aside by Hotch, Morgan and Hudson are sent to a crime scene. Even though Hudson had let it go, it'll keep his mind busy from thinking further on Reid's departure from the bullpen. (Or at least I hope.) It was very heartening to see Morgn hoping that Reid will stay at the BAU! It something to know when there's someone who secretly supports you and one doesn't know about it.

Also, I can really appreciate Hudson and Morgan's comrade-ship when they work together. I really like seeing that. (As long as Hudson would not talk about Reid that is.)

Hotch tries again with convincing Reid to not leave, and he does so where he is really being thorough about it. I love that he actually let Spencer speak his mind and is actually willing to take into account his own mistakes and how to do better afterwards. It shows that communication is very essential - no matter what - and it was a means of helping Reid be more comfortable and to be encouraged in the end.

I am excited to see where things go from here. Very awesome chapter!
innominateuser chapter 22 . 12/4/2019
Gideon is man who doesn't entertain ideas. He means what he says and says what he means. Reid contemplates what both Hotch and now Gideon tells him. It seems that he's turning around on his decision of quitting. Just as much as he owe Hotch the courtesy, he owes himself to see it through, to see that he be the best dang agent he can be.

I love, love, love Morgan coming over to Reid after the game between him, Hudson, and Hotch were over. Brings back treasurable memories of most of the scenes where Morgan and Reid interact during the plane rides or just them interacting in general.

Reid just about won every round and he won over Morgan's trust and in turn Morgan was able to get a little past the barriers Reid has put up. I smiled at the part when Morgan asked Reid about being banned from casinos and Reid's response and smile to that was just a heart-winner! I love the tidbit with what happened in capturing the UnSub. You wrapped this chapter up nicely!
innominateuser chapter 21 . 12/4/2019
Hudson senses that Reid is close to quitting and possibly that Morgan sides with Reid, but Morgan is able to dodge under his scrutiny. He is now become a part of Reid's support though. Hudson remains the same in regards to his feelings against their newest team member. Gosh he's so mean.

The case has took a sudden turn for the worse. Lost two cops and there's a hunt for the UnSub's blood. Hotch and Gideon try to maintain civility, but it'll be a struggle when it comes to cops needing to avenge for their fallen comrades.

Morgan sharing his jacket or coat with Reid is a small but a good sign of things turning for them for which I am very happy to see!

Now it's a race to catch Carmichael before he hurts anyone else or gets away permanently.
innominateuser chapter 20 . 12/4/2019
May have noticed that I re-favorited your story. I had went through my favorite's list, and I saw your sequel in my faves but not this one, which I may have removed by mistake because I had did some cleaning through my list of favorites some time ago. So unless if it was in my faves list still and I skimmed past it, I decided to just save it to my favorites list again anyway. :)

Get the rest you need Spencer.

Oh! I have been holding off from saying, but I think I know who the hacker is. ;) Interesting play there if I am correct.

The team has gotten some info about the person of interest. Despite nothing else, Jack will probably prove to be the guy.

I enjoy the little bit of banter between Nichols and Morgan.I forgot to mention that I really like Nichols nickname for Hotch lol. Very daring he is, but he speaks the truth.

Glad to see Reid appreciate's Nichols embarrassing story, and his encouragement to stay with the team.
