Such a supposedly strong and intelligent person needing support from a fictional character rather ruins her fictional character.

I've loved this story but the following paragraph really stuck in my craw. Hermione killed 4 death eaters so this makes her seem weak and rather pathetic. I would understand basic shock of the attack but even then compared to how she reacted at the last unprovoked attack it still seems rather rediculous.

I have to question everyone's lack of seeing the forest for the trees here. They literally have every piece of the puzzle, yet can't figure out the simple answer.

It's not even a reader insight, they know voldy is around, know voldy is actively trying to get a body, know that death eaters are delaying police funding. That should automatically say that a poor police is an easy obstacle to overcome so that is the why.

Great job showing Hermione as a bad ass in her own right while still having a bad ass Harry.

To note number 3. It really comes down to the local society. There are plenty out there where what we consider children are more mature and understanding of the world than most 30 year Olds from 1st world countries.

Couple that with the type of environment (everyone has potential for magical and sexual violence) and one tends to mature rather quickly.

I say it now, regardless if this fic falls or is great, this stands as the best HP parents are alive story. No bs reason their alive (easily believable that V would experiment vs just kill, he is worse than a cat with a mouse), not parent bashing, no wbwl, no sibling picked over Harry, no Snape forgiveness, acknowledgement of all the failures.

So just want to say love how every chapter so much happens. I feel like i should be halfway done wjth this story and im only on chapter 9. This is truly great despite all my opinions and anecdotes lol

I love this story but it feels as if you have taken everything out and just made it about the fmailg which is honesty is cool. But considering everything. There should def be more confrontation be it with the two youngest weasleys or even having fred and george teasing them. The whole school is clealry agaisnt Harry but u onmy have these minor obvious confrontations with Malfoy or Parkinson that doesbt lead to much. I expected Luscious to show up over what Harry did to Draco or even Thorus Nott but that didnt happen. And you have made it as if Ron has the emotiobal compacity to not start something or cause a scene . Like Ron not talking to Harry makes sense hut adter seeing that Hermione was with him. He hasnt even been in the story. And perhaps u are trying to focus on the family aspect . But it leads to a bit of a drull story line when nothing expected but then awesome happens. Like you even took Rons moment at the yule ball abd made it some random Older Ravenclaw wheb it would have been funnier and better to have been Ron who put his foot in his mouth in a spectacular way or even Draco. You had all the set up and

So did Harry leave out the whole Snape has been verably and emotionally abusing me since i stepped foot in here. Cuz i was expecting a little more from Lilykins when it came to Snape.
