By the way, it’s actually ‘Earendil’ (don’t know how to do the accents over the ‘a’) not ‘Elendil’. In the book, Galadriel says “In this phial, is caught the light of Earendil’s star, set amidst the waters of my fountain”. In the movie, she says, “I give you the light of Earendil, our most beloved star”, HOWEVER the way she says it makes it sound like ‘Elendil’.

Oh this is fantastic! Serious overload of Mary-sues had turned me off reading Legolas fanfic here, but I was just wandering aimlessly around the crossovers section and thought this looked interesting. I read a few lines, and was hooked. I've just read the entire 12 chapters and I'm so frustrated that I can't find out what happens! My first thought when we saw the unknown elf that it was Dobby - I know you can't give the plot away, but is that even close? But Dobby, Legolas' brother? *bounces in frustration* OOOOOOOO I can't belive how much not knowing annoys me! :)

Back to the point - this story is far and away one of the best LotR/Legolas fanfics that I've read, and since I've read quite a few, that's a big compliment! The plot is incredible, the way you describe and switch from character to character is amazing. I love the way Legolas thinks, and the 'attercop' line had me grinning from ear to ear. The portrayal of Hogwarts and the Hogwarts characters are the most realistic I've come across on here, and the reassurances of no Legolas romance is a big relief - it's wonderful not to have any cliche Legolas-falls-in-love-with-mysterious-girl-who-joins-the-fellowship storylines.

Oh dear god I'm raving on for a long time about this - but hey I've got a lot to say!

As for the Legolas-into-Hogwarts universe - have you already decided how it happened? If not I think an explanation involving something to do with the pool in the beginning - maybe something about the power that had been in Mirkwood seeping into the water? I'm not sure what you're planning, but if it's like the first 12 chapters, we haven't got anything to worry about!

Finally, I agree - Orlando Bloom is MAJORLY snogable!

Keep up the great work - I'll be keeping an eye on this fic.

I read this while listening to "Lament for Gandalf." Music can really change your prospective! Very nice chapter I might add, I once took a character-personality test to see who I was most like, I was Galadriel! I imagine her best when I visualize her likeness in the Silmarillion. She's really cool in that book. Im also like gullum though, I love roots and beginings! Anyway, please keep writting!

Wow! Two chapters! I really liked seeing the battle through the boys' eyes. And I'm so glad Galadriel showed up! I have a feeling about that unknown elf but I won't say it in case I'm right and I spoil it. We do get to know how Dumbledore's doing, right?
