With certain authors, emotional torment is the same as love for a character. Pain, suffering, trials, there are the things that one can use to expose the deepest part of a character, to show as much of them as one can to the world. We don't read tragedies to see the characters overcome trials; we read tragedies to know the characters through their suffering.

I simply wish there were more fics that emotionally torment the cast of Persona 3, and Persona 4 as long as we're at it. Hell, throw in some torment for the cast of Nocturne while we're at it.

The interactions are so real. The friendship you have that grows between the characters really makes me ache... Everything is just so well done. The flow, the slipping of one thought to the next and the believable characterization, the hints at bonds that were never truly touched upon in-game and the natural way you make the characters hold themselves...

I really, really loved how you showed Junpei's darker side. His jealousy and his irrepressible want for a memorable identity, and his lashing out at those closest to him because of it; you painted the picture so well. It's like all of it actually happened exactly as you wrote it because anything else just wouldn't be as real.

Thank you for writing this. Not just for the story, but for the time you spent writing it and the love with which you wrote it. It really means a lot to me when I can find a fanfic that I can't stop loving the instant I start reading.

OMG I TOTALLY DID NOT REALIZE YOU WROTE "in medias res" WHICH IS MY FAVORITE JUNPEI-CENTRIC STORY EVER.

Okay cause yeah I was basically stalking you and I just saw stuff I liked and spazzed. Um.

I've loved this fic for years and years but I am a loser so I never got to review it. I love the way you wrote Junpei/Minako, how their friendship was, how they relate to each other, how they're bestfriends-not-lovers. And the Junpei/Yukari at the end was so heartwhelming that I remember smiling sadly like the dork I am the first time I read this.

Um, anyway. Great job, again and again and again :D

Well, accumulation of love and emotional torture aren't necessarily mutually exclusive in fics, ahaha. This was just...really awesome, and I don't know how I didn't find it before. I love it. Everything about all the characterizations and everything. The depth you put into Junpei, the vividness of Minako, and everything in between. Just - completely, yes.

Beautiful one-shot. Loved every bit of it, especially the exploration into Junpei's psyche and the kinder Yukari moments.

A great portrait of the female MC, and an insightful look into the relationships between Junpei, Yukari, and Minako. The writing is lovely, soft, and sad. I particularly loved this line: "Minako had been a girl and not a lock on a gate" . . . I don't know why, but it just sums up so many things in such a succinct manner. It lingered in my brain days after I first read this and made me look for it again.

You know, somehow I've never really made that Shinjiro and Junpei connection. Seems obvious in hindsight. Nice job with the sort-of-but-not-really-or-maybe-it-is-nah-no-way thing you have between Junpei and Yukari; seems more plausible than anything else.

...How the hell did I not see this?

I love this, to bits, I friggin' seriously love this. Yukari, Junpei, Minako-geez they were just, ugh- I just really love this. You left me speechless man. Or woman.
