The jumping between povs here was interesting. I'm doubtful Jake and Edward will be as good friends as Ephraim and Edward were but maybe they're going to be able to be friendly around the other...
Because that way Leah might be able to get medical care without having to go out of town for each visitespecially if Sue is right with the differences about wolves and humans being that obvious already !

Whatever happened with that little girl seems to have been the culmination of Edward's internal war with himself about bein' the loner in a family of mated couples, as well as the pull to try the "normal" vampire diet! Edward is the only one to answer that question *sigh!*

Awh what a huge relationship escalation these last two chapters! I know we heard the story of Edward's exodus from the Cullens through his POV.. but hearing it through his journals, the innocence and loneliness is a whole other side of him we don't see because of his self-loathing. Maybe Bella can help him get in touch with his humanity again, and he can finally learn to forgive himself ...and, most importantly, get over himself. I can't wait to see what's next in store for their relationship! xo

You can just feel Edward’s loneliness and despair about being unmated by the way he writes what he’s feeling in his journal.

Would like to know the meaning of the stories title - Youhuo? I usually google these out of curiosity but I didn’t find anything on this one.

Wow, big turning point for Bella in this chapter. I wonder if Edward intentionally left those items within easy finding distance. Is he trying to open up to Bella? Because I can’t imagine that he’d be so careless to leave that stuff there given that Bella has already shown some curiosity towards learning about him. I also feel like he would have come up there because there’s no way he couldn’t hear her going into those other rooms upstairs. I hope he doesn’t shut her out if she tries to talk to him about those journals and the missing poster.

Edward is right. She wants to give in to everything he offers but that stubborn pride or her experience with her mum prevents her. Maybe this is what will free bwr to be his. Or maybe its another one if his manipulations.
