I think I have met (virtually) my kindred spirit in you. I hate Velentine's Day and refuse my husband getting me any flowers, jewelry or take me to dinner. I too, agree if you want to spontaneously get me random flowers, I'm okay with that. I don't wear any jewelry except my wedding set. Oh, and a beautiful ring he had made for the twenty-fifth anniversary of our first date. I imagine those readers that you mentioned in your a/n about Bella blowing up when he didn't show for the parents dinner, had a heyday with this chapter. I loved that she finally told him how this was affecting her. How could he not notice that Kate's behavior directly correlates to her finding out about Bella? He has to be blind to it. And, he is enabling Kate by not saying anything. Kate wants her cake and to eat it too. She wants Edward to be at her beck and call with Emily, and refuses him introducing her to Bella. Therefore, when she pulls this crap, she knows that he doesn't get to see Bella. Bella was way more than justified in this chapter. I really liked that she told him to not contact her until he gets it together. Again, how the fuck does he not notice Kate manipulating him? Seriously!

That was definitely my kind of New Year's Eve. It is actually how the hubs and I spend it every year. It was fun to read one in fanfic. Usually there is nothing but parties in fics.

I'm with Bella on this one. Emily is one thing. A very understandable thing. Kate being there is bullshit. I guess his parents care more about Emily and Kate than they do their own son. That's really crawly of them to do this to Edward.

I have to say that if this part happened to you, with this being ninety percent your own life, that I am so sorry it happened. Bella's anger is completely justified. It also seems very suspicious that Kate picked that night of all nights to pull this on Edward. Yes, his daughter comes first. However, she explained how very important it was to her and he let her down. It really comes down to that. He let her down in a major way. I understand his predicament but, is their not a babysitter that they've used in the past? Anyone? It all seems too . . . I don't know.

That wasn't a very romantic way for him to tell her her. Not that romance really has to factor in there. He just sort of let it slip through in conversation, instead of telling her separately. I don't think I'm explaining that the best of ways. I'm not very surprised that Kate inst ready for Emily to meet Bella. It has to be very difficult for her. It seems, from what little that's been shared about their relationship, that she didn't want to let Edward go at all. Dragged her feet for years. So no, not surprised that she'd want to hol that off as long as possible.

I have to say it made me giggle at her reaction to being in love with Edward. Her shooting up and to the end of the couch, then leaving. Running home, calling Alice and freaking out. Making her promise to be there early so they can talk. I'm glad the ladies explained that she was in love and that's why she freaked out. I'm sad that she's never had love before Edward though. Not even puppy love or, high school/college love. Those types of love are great but, forever love, that's the very best kind. The kind that still gives you butterflies, twenty-five years later. Forever love is fantastic.

That was odd. Why would he make it seem as though he wanted to spend the day with her, then turn around after breakfast and tell her he had a ton of stuff to do? What changed his mind? Strange.

I'm glad he pointed out, again, that he's a package that includes Emily. She does need to be reminded. Although, I really agree with Jake. She needs to make absolut sure with Edward first. That means dating and getting to that relationship place first. Then meet Emily. Although, he may not see it that way and may want to rush things. That could have the reverse affect when a woman isn't crazy about kids. He too, has to be careful.

Alice advised her exactly what I would've done. Packed the bag, yet kept it in the trunk. That way I'd be prepared if I felt like staying.

I love that he popped into her work! That's fantastic. He's really into her, I can tell.

Emmett was fun in this chapter. I love meeting up with my girls for GNO. SO FUN.

That was a sweet walk on the beach. Getting to know one another. His laying it all out there the way he did about Emily and his time spent with her being his priority was very good of him to do. I'm very glad I never had that choice to make. It would've been so difficult. I knew by sixteen that I never wanted children. I love them, just not for me. Thankfully, I found a man that felt the same.

Loved her fangirl screaming! Too fun! He truly does want to be around her. That is great! Especially after she sort of freaked over the one night stand. Their banter is good too.

Of course he was going to call her. I'm sad that she felt he wouldn't. I am very happy that he proved her wrong, with his call and voicemail. Rose was great in this chapter.

Peppers, she's all kinds of emotional right now. If he were single, without the child, she very well still feel the same. I personally think she is more embarrassed about what she did, that she normally doesn't do, than the partially married daddy part.
