Reviews for Mara, Weyrling Brown Rider |
---|
![]() ![]() Question- earlier in this book Ayrieth's rider is Teanna. Now, in chapter 30, her rider is an older Lanarra. (who has the hots for G'raden).? |
![]() ![]() Caylith wasn't a Beenden queen. She was an oldtimer. So was Barnath. Benden Weyr didn't come forward. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You are missed |
![]() ![]() Teanna or Tianna? |
![]() ![]() If F'lar is 70, then Manors is definitely in her 90s at least. |
![]() ![]() Time would only be 21 turns later as she was 10 in the previous referenced time frame |
![]() ![]() Too involved to stop betreten chapters to review. :) |
![]() ![]() Peeked (as in quick look) not peaked (pointed top as in the mountain peak) |
![]() ![]() I'm loving it! |
![]() ![]() I love your story and I am glad that some can write stories for those of us who can not or won't. I have something to point out to you about our young green rider being pregnant. In Anne's books it has been pointed out that female riders do not carry their babies, Because going in between causes them to miscarry. Angalyn was transported to Benden Weyr from Ista Weyr by going inbetween. just pointing it out for your information. Please keep up the great work that you are doin. Thank You for writing and putting your work out there for everyone to read and enjoy. Again Thank You.. 10-18-20 |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hey, everyone! Pern Dreamer here. To some people's dismay, I am not dead. I did make a major move in 2018. I am safe in a new home (still under construction though - dern aging problems). I finally had a visit from my muses a couple of months ago, but alas, when I pulled out my computer, it did not survive the move nearly as well as I did. I'm saving up for a new laptop so hope to continue with this 'little story' soon (preferably before it drives me insane. I have tried writing on this stupid, little tiny Android phone (the 3rd one since my move) but the muses (and arthritic hands) strenuously object. I even tried using paper, but the backspace key malfunctions insesently (Why won't spell check work when you need it?) creating nothing more than piles of fire-starter. Tried going to the library, but muses seem to need snacks and sodas and an occasional cigarette or walk out-of-doors. And they are quite insulted be 'hours of operation'. I sincerely appreciate all of your lovely reviews and concerns for my well-being! Wish I could respond to each of you, but . . .(dern phone). I WILL BE BACK! (Oops - that was a movie, not a Pern book) Safe Sky's to you all! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love love love Mara's story! please write more! Love all the little details that make Pern and all the characters practically jump off the page! Last entry, you were moving...how did that go? Looking forward to more! |
![]() ![]() I do hope that you do return to these writing; this is some wonderful fan fiction. I'd bet Anne and Todd would be delighted! (March 2020) |
![]() ![]() Your wonderful tale set in Annie's Dragon-verse has stayed fairly close to canon, with the glaring exception of the continued references to AVAIS when in Annie's book(s) the information system shut itself off at the time of Masterharper Robinton's death. So your story(s) are AU even before the greater mental 'skills' that some of your characters evidence. I do really love all the details you add, especially of wyer life, Lessa and F'lar, Brekke and F'nor, Sebell and Manora are well told, and I most enjoyed everything regarding the training of young dragons and their riders. Anne and Todd's 3rd Pass storyline was the most Anne herself wrote on wyerling/dragonet training, and I like much of your additions! Good Job! |
![]() ![]() I have been a weather forecaster for the U.S. Air Force, and I do not understand your convergent, funnel weather that can happen in storms and/or clear skies. I understand the needs and demands for a story can make take some liberties, and Pern is an alien world, so I will cut you a break, this time. But a major rewrite is in order for is this wonderful tale if it is ever expected to meet the greater public. I can imagine a couple of ways severe weather could both hinder and help with fighting a thread fall. Lightning strikes and heavy levels of moisture in clouds that could drown thread/spores just to mention a couple thoughts. |
