Reviews for Mara, Weyrling Brown Rider |
---|
![]() ![]() I have really enjoyed this wonderful story that overlaps the time frame in 'Skies of Pern' and has all my favorite characters of Anne's creation at least mentioned. And some of the Benden Weyr activities maybe a bit different from how our Amazing Dragon lady would have written them, but you have created a wholly wonderous AU (?) story that has me hooked. Please return to this very interesting development of Human telepathy and Dragon-kinds' interactions with them all happening late in the Last Pass involving threadfall, I just love it! More please! -June 2019- |
![]() ![]() You corrected the sounds alike misuse of 'there' when you needed to use 'their'. It was bothersome and I am so happy that error has been addressed. Because these wonderful fanfic stories where written a number of years ago, I have not commented each chapter, but I am taking a moment to express my thanks to your delightful continuation of one of my all time favorite places in the fictional realms, the PERN of Anne and Todd, as well as those incredible and lovable Dragons of Pern. It is a given that anyone who reads a Dragonrider's story will desire a dragon of their own. You have added to that universe and should be rightly proud of your work, thank you! June 2019 |
![]() ![]() I think that if riders can telepath with their dragons, it is only a small step to using telepathy with other humans. Lessa' s ability to talk to all the dragons argues that she had the potential, plus her ability to "leam". |
![]() ![]() I'm enjoying the details of the early life of dragons and their training. It's a smaller scale story than most of Anne's but the "rank and file" make up the majority of any population. They are worthy of such attention. |
![]() ![]() Well I ''ve read this far. That means I will read the rest. I'm enjoying this. |
![]() ![]() ![]() wow! very well done ! I am waiting to read how ,who and why this is being done to MARA Thank you for all your hard work, am sure Ann and family would be proud ! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Love all your stories. I know I've found them a long time after you have written them, but it would be really great if you finished this. I love getting a picture of a different side af life in the Weyr and Pern. Found it hard to put down. Thanks again. |
![]() ![]() Love this story! You have captured the emotions and the characters beautifully. I hope you keep writing. |
![]() ![]() Your writing is marvelous. Story plot and characters. You have done a wonderful job here. Keep writing! |
![]() ![]() This is the second time I am reading this story. You are a fantastic writer! Your characters are real, and I lobe the dragons! You have captured draconian characters beautifully. I really hope you will write more stories. Thank you for writing and sharing your amazing gift. |
![]() ![]() Moving is the worst. When I moved into this house in January of 1984 I promised myself I'd never move again. I've helped friends move, and that was bad, but I haven't. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'd like to thank you for all "you", that's in this story and the whole series of Mara...well done. On another note I moved 3 states and then 2 more,so I totally get where your at, I will bee here when you have the time and motivation to continue, again thank you so much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() OMG! "A dragonrider's work is never done" has GOT to be the BEST line yet in this excellent story. Oh there was a tiny typo in a recent previous chapter where you had "Quite" instead of "Quiet." |
![]() ![]() ![]() So, I've gotten 15 chapters in, and I know this is finished, but I'm so enjoying your story. I wish this was one of the professionally published stories, it is that good. Have you considered writing your own stuff? I mean, I love Pern and the dragons, at least up until Anne started losing it and I just don't find her son's work that good. THIS is that good! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Don't worry too much about the attention to characterization. You need to show the roots of the coming conflict with B'rand and the more hidebound minds. |
